Hi! Thanks for the welcome. I was a member once before, back in 1999, witht eh handle Donne. My work has since kept me away, and I figured trying to get my access to my old username and personal space would be much more trying than simply beginning again. [Was I wrong?] That said, I've forgotten so much in 4 years, that I need to re-orient myself. Your message was needed and appreciated.
One question: can I make a direct hyperlink from my non-h2g2 page to my person space here as I normally would?

There is no problem in making a hyperlink to your page,
you just put
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/U234587
as the link address,

but if anyone wants to leave you a message on there, they will have to register first

Thanks to you both for your help! Today, my Literacy & Technology class will be visiting h2g2 and my personal space, and the link will make the trip easier for all.
