Hi ya Sas, how ya doing? its me the mad woman whom has deserted the old nutrition site. Boy is it better here!!! I speak to a few from the site but as to date am yet to contact Ian. Dont know wether he has a site on here or not, but be nice to speak to him. I now have about 5 - 7 1/2lbs to lose to get to my goal!! Getting quite excited now, but it has slowed down as i have neared my goal. Patience is a virtue so i am told so i am trying very hard at that, but it dodes not work all the time and i end up shrugging my shoulders saying why why why. Be nice to speak again though love Diane x smiley - winkeye

Hi Nige

Sorry not to have replied. I've yet to get the hang of this. I thought I'd come and have a mooch about while the N&F board is down. It's getting very frustrating. I'm not having a very inspiring time at work a the moment and it was keeping me entertained!

I don't mind what you call me (within reason!). Sas, Flipper, Flip it makes no difference to me, I like a bit of variety.

Cheers

Hi Diane.

It would be great to talk to you.

You may have read on the N&F board that I may have to go for reconstructive surgery so I'd be very interested in your experiences with cosmetic surgery. You needn't tell me the procedures you had done, if you'd rather not but I'm interested to know about the recovery and follow up. I hate hospitals.

I'm going for genetic testing next week. The doc's given me tranquillizers and a local anesthetic because I'm such a nervous patient. It's only a blood test but I have a blood phobia.
(I feel like such a ninny)

See ya soon

Hey Sas,

I hate needles, too! However many blood tests I've had (and I've had a lot since Nov 5th 2002, and canulas, too), I never get used to them.

Just grit your teeth and look at something else. You ARE allowed to shout OUCH!

Good luck Nige xXx

I'm alright with needles. Injections are fine because they're putting something in.

It's when they're taking something out that I get twitchy! I need that stuff... it's supposed to be where it is not floating around in a bottle somewhere.

They only take a teensy-weensy bit of blood - you wouldn't miss it. Just don't look, eh?

It's nice to meet someone whose actually done some research to back up the way they eat. I still can't get over the number of people who go on a diet 'for a while'. Total madness!

What are they doing to the message boards this morning?

Hi Sas, yes i agree i had problems yesterday with the board, i think the ghosties need ghost busting!!
The surgery i had was very like lypo...meant to be less intrusive...liers!! I unfortunately woke during the op as they only used a seditive, and that is what i am worried about this time. The recovery was quite fast and the after care very very good, it must have been otherwise i wouldn't be going back! If you are worried about a thimble full of blood, think about this they removed 2 1/2 litres of fat and cells out of me! It has left my hip and pelvis region uneven, although at the time you don't notice untill the swelling has gone down. So on the 19th Sept i am going to be smothed out.....i hope the irons hot enough! ha ha ha. It cant be an easy op though as you always look so different when you lie down, they could do with you standing up really.
I wouldn't worry too much about your op i am sure you will be fine, recovery is so much quicker these days. I am always here if you are worried and need to speak.
Like you have a fear of blood being taken i have an avid fear of the dentist, which was made twice as bad because i had bulimia and it rotted many of my teeth.....something i now regret. The only dentist i trust is about 40 miles away from me, but he is gentle and will stop when i say so, so he is worth travelling all that way.
Anyway speak soon smiley - love Diane x
