Hello my name is opti and I've noticed that we have something missing from the languages department.... Latin! ok it isn't spoken today but it is still being taught today as the basis of all languages especially European ones.

At present I am involved in the french department of h2g2 but I don't mind starting up a latin section if people feel there is a need for one.

Though there is already a wonderful Useful Latin Phrases entry, I think its a great idea! Why don't you start one, and I'll show up, too! I only know a miniscule amount, but I bet we could find a teacher...
All I know is from medical terminology and other romance languages.
But c'mon how hard could it be...

Klingon is very well structured. Probably more speak it than Latin...

Klingon....hmmm. I'm not exactly convinced to be honest. I think perhaps learning real languages first might be more in keeping with my plans. Sorry to rain on anyone's parade.

Yeah sorry I haven't been around much. I've got so much to do and it's all getting on top of me somewhat. I've got a few troubles at home too.

Nobody is participating in the german or spanish threads. I feel a bit of a flop right now. The french thread is taking care of itself though with a lot of bonjours and nothing else. I can't participate much because the school has blocked my translation website and I don't speak french! Sigh

I think spanish is easier to speak, when you live in the US!
Maybe you should give the people in German/Spanish threads a little tug on the thread. Remind them that you're here!
