If you like the idea of being part of something, it's even better to be part of something new. I just started releasing my old books into the wilds of Perthshire. The only thing you can't do, is see people's faces when they capture the books - unless you stake them out of course.

It's a cool idea and something that is really big in America and Australia: only just starting in UK...

So hang on, you read a cool book and then leave it somewhere for another person to find? But surely the only problem with that is that you can keep sending out these books but the money spent on them was by you? Sorry if that sounds selfish but...books are expensive... Have I got this wrong though? I like the concept it amuses me.

Yes, but you can pick up books as well, so in the end you don't waste money. On the website there's a list of all the latest release sites, so you can go and hunt for books. I guess if you're in the wilds, that's pretty difficult; but if you're in a city, no worries.

Have been away on a cadet course.

I live in Bedford and I went and looked and found there was...one book in bedford! Maybe I'll have more luck with Birmingham instead!
