Hello Kat
Pete Posted Aug 11, 2003
Sounds like your drive has the same problem that mine has.
I used to hate Mondays too, but they don't bother me so much anymore

I think Wednesday will become my worst day. I only have one free that day and then STRAIGHT after school I have CCF, and then STRAIGHT after that I have Spanish, and then by that time it's 8:30pm!
I'll never have time to do anything! What about homework?
Hello Kat
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Aug 12, 2003
Well I can see why they have it, it's just a drag and I'll never do Wednesdays. Oh well we shall see won't we?
What you doing today?
Hello Kat
Pete Posted Aug 12, 2003
yeah, we'll see..
I'm just sitting here thinking about writing an entry for the guide. How are you doing?
Hello Kat
Kat - From H2G2 Posted Aug 12, 2003
Well I was trying to work out how to use a digital camera and being shoved loads of programs by my friend. Very confusing but we ended up sending encrypted messages to each other
What you think of for the guide? What section for?
Hello Kat
Pete Posted Aug 12, 2003
hehe, digital cameras can be a lot of fun.
I'm going to write an entry about the band Genesis. I've already started, but I need to research some more about them.
What I've done so far is here A1141859

You might want to mention what instruments they all played, especially as I only know that Chris Stewart played the drums and was pretty not great.
It's looking smooth though. Keep going. I haven't got round to writing an entry yet though because I just can't think of something I know enough about.

What else are you up to?
I'm desperately trying to get started reviewing this book for the bookworm club, but I can't even get something down on the page, let alone something sane! I can't remember what you put in reviews! I suppose a blurb about the book, what you thought etc?

I always have some background information to read from when writing something for a website. For my Genesis entry I'm checking up the details on the official website, to make sure I'm getting all the dates/names right, and I'm then writing them into the entry. I also ask other people for input as to what they think should go into my writing.
Maybe you should look at the synopsis that they usually put on the back cover of the book, and start your entry by using that as the base for your entry. Don't write it word for word, because thats plagiarism and you could get into trouble for that. But there is nothing against you reading it a couple of times and writing it in your own words. Once you actaully get going it's pretty easy to keep writing.
Okay, that was a long one... *phew*

I finally did the book review in one long rush at it head long. Sorry I've not replied in so long. I've found that I've subscribed to far too many things and get drowned in backlog every single day! This is no fun!
How you doing then?
Hello Kat
Pete Posted Aug 18, 2003
I'm doing good... I've been a bit too busy recently to be doing too much stuff online. I should get back into the swing of things soon
