i forgot i did the online the same time as conversations so it didn`t change,can you tell me what works different now i`ve deleted space ? & how do i know if i have been updated ? i havn`t noticed a change anywhere really just boxes & no e-mail will try the rest in a bit hon,had company most ov day & only popped on quickly a few times

Your online link works just fine now. It puts people into alphabetical order. Note that people with nicknames starting with a space or special character are put higher up the list.

The conversations link still needs that @ changing to a & character.

I don't know why you've been getting blue boxes. h2g2 has been working reasonably well for me. It is the BBC message boards which have been bad. Perhaps TeleWest is causing more of the problems than h2g2 this time.

I will go n try that one now i reckon you are right about telewest coz yoome2 is suffering an all at least mine is anyways,maybe its my digibox ? LOL right here goes (fingers crossed)

i tried it the way you said exactly & got bad closing element it said TD was expecting FONT & then once id put that back it said TD was expecting P so i had to put that back (now it looks like it did at 1st,do you think?)

Each tag has to be self-closing or be an opening and closing pair. At a guess you first forgot to remove a so when it reached the it complained about not having an opening to go with that closing one. Similarly with leaving but removing . It doesn't matter though if you like it the way it is.

You are getting closer with the conversations link but seem to have lost one of the numbers. You don't actually need to say skip=0 at all because it will assume the zero. So you could do away with the ampersand altogether and just have:

<./>MP233503?show=50</.>

Mind you, you don't have anywhere near 50 conversations at the moment!

To choose the background colour and size of a smiley (it seems you can't force the size without forcing colour) you have to use the IMG tag. Since the smiley will no longer change automatically to match the skin, you should make a coloured area for the text with smileys, eg using TABLE. You can find the smiley sizes from A1000008. You can set them the same or double them etc. You should choose classic goo versions for all medium to dark coloured backgrounds and Alabaster for any light coloured ones.

I'm not sure what you mean. The tea shoppe is a page. People can post new threads onto it or they can subscribe to it to see any new threads posted by anyone else. The only anomalous thread I can see at the moment is a taxi. I can't tell how many people might be subscribed to the whole page.
