Hi there martine!
Having glimpsed you briefly in ML, I hope you might have a minute to answer a translation question. I went to see ‘Caché’ yesterday (as reported in my journal) and at one point the Daniel Auteuil character is explaining how, when he was young, he told his parents lies about the young Algerian who was living with them, in order to discredit him. The word he used sounded something like 'cafeter' (je l'ai cafeté?) - and he said this twice - but I can't find anything resembling this in my dictionaries or online. Any idea what it might be? It was translated in the subtitles as 'I told lies about him'.
Hope you are well,
annie
