This may sound a bit melodramatic, but at the moment I've serious personal problems which I have to sort out, so I'll not be online for a while, cause the fact that I'm chatting here is part of the problems
I have no idea how long it will take me to feel better and come back again, just don't forget me, I'll get in touch when everything's fine again

Hope you can work it out.. just remember you've done NOTHING wrong ..you're entitled to an interest of your own and friends and don't let anyone make you feel guilty for it!

Hello, great to all of you for your support
I can't say that the problems have been solved, but at least I managed to make hubby talk to me again, I've never been able to cope with the fact that a person who is important to me stopped talking to me, it really makes me sick and my reactions vary from 'being hysterical' over 'total withdrawal from everything' to 'being angry', but perhaps I should try to learn not to be bothered, well, I'm trying but am not very successful

Your emotions are what make you what you are! Your husband loves you and probably feels left out of your life when you are online! I have been lucky with my Hubby...he is very patient. And yet there have been times when I have had to close down and spend some time with him !
Online we are all Friends and will offer advice if you need it. We do care , but your Husband is the here and now...he needs you too!
Take your time luv... we will always be here, you won't be forgotten

You're right, he feels excluded, but no talking and running away never has solved any problems, and I don't complain when he's playing his pc games for hjours on end, so where's the difference?

The difference is that his are games...annoying, but just silly little games.
While hootoo is not a one to one chat line... in his mind he probably thinks it is!
Having seen certain symbols and smileys, his imagination will have done the rest for him... understand?
Perhaps if you could show him this thread... he could even contact me in my PS if you or he wish.. I will attempt to explain the site to him

, lil, but don't think I hadn't tried to explain this site to him
And as I said, it's not only my chatting here, it's all the things we've been disagreeing about for years, this new hobby of me only adds to them

difference is you made new friends. you and with them.
for many who are not on hootoo it is still some sort of cult where you poor your heart out. for the outsider we are strangers, but still you see us as friends.
hootoo is also adiction you probably tall him stories about us, but a lot are inside jokes.
I would not worry may de you both should decide to switch off computer few hours a day and play old fashioned board games or something else.

Hi
I don't have much experience with relationships..but I do know that one of the things thats important in making them work is having seperate interests! You can't be someones life..you each need to have a life for the other to be a part of! you say you dont complain when hes playing his games..I bet you dont complain if he goes to the pub, or away with friends on his own or whatever either!...well the same goes for you too..you're as entitled to 'me' time as he is ,in fact i'd say its necessary! and to me resorting to not talking to you to make you feel bad is nothing short of emotional blackmail sorry for the rant there..

Aah, pheloxi°
good idea, but unfortunately we had to find out that there are absolutely no common interests any more, but decided to try to get along and maybe come closer again, time will show whether it's possible

serephina, you're absolutely right, he's always measuring things differently, and now I told him thazt I would need something to have for me, too, and that I never objected him to pursue his hobbies but said: fine, glad he's got something he enjoys - and guess what: he told he he'd take this as a lack of interest in him
So what can I say to tjhis, now?

Serephina Posted Apr 19, 2004
Well he'd better stop playing his ps2 games, watching the fooball, going out with mates n whatever else he does thats an interest on his own then hadn't he as that must be showing a lack of interest in you! i hate double standards! ..maybe you should pint that fact ot to him..your'e not just another of his 'things',purely there for him, you're entitled to the same rights and priveledges as he is..and that includes a life! I have to say he sounds like a very selfish man and I hope he has
some good points to make up for it a bit!
