You know, the best things are 'Made in Taiwan'. Btw, do you know how this 'made in' started? After WWII, products mad in Germany had to be indicated as such, it was thought as some sort of punishment or somesuch. People soon found out, though, that these products were of rather good quality, so 'Made in Germany' soon became some sort of trademark.

Ah, no, as you were. It says "made of china". There's a little chip missing. I think it's on my shoulder.

You are right about German quality, Bel. During my childhood, Irish men chose German made suits because they had such a good cut and lasted so well. Recently I bought a jacket that was designed by a German company, while being made in SE Europe. It is a joy to wear.
