Good Afternoon Bel
My girlfriend and I have spent three very enjoyable holidays in Germany. The first was in Triberg in the Black Forest, the second on the Rhine at Rudesheim and then last year in Berlin. The first two we flew into Frankfurt am main airport but last year we flew into Berlin.
Thank you for your introduction and I apologise for calling you ace I thought that was your nickname.

Hello dulcimer dave (if you'll stay around, you'd better get used to people abbreviating your name to either dd, or maybe dave ).
I live in Frankfurt am Main, and I've spent several holidays in the Black forest, which is a great area to go. Rüdesheim isn't that far away, so I've been there serveral times. It's been 30 years since I went to Berlin, though.
Don't worry about having called me ace, mayn newbies do.
At 57 you're definitely not a silver surfer - we have several researchers of that age or older here.

Hello Bel
I hope I will be a long time contributor to hootoo as my interest in all things trivia and trivial may provide some interesting topics.
I have recently returned to the folk club scene after a break of quite a few years. I will try to provide some details of my dulcimer playing, and modal music in general.
DD or Dave also suits me fine I do not mind a bit.
I also like your smilies, the pretzels made me feel hungry.

Yes, the pretzels are lovely. I got them shortly after I had written this:

I've just looked: we don't have a guide entry about dulcimers - I thought they only had them in Bavaria.
You can see which entries we have here: <./>C98</.>
