Right and wrong.
Hum - (OK usually 'hums' = smell)
Dudgeon - these days only 'high dudgeon' - indignance.
Swinging the lead - certainly naval but also used (maybe just Plymouth) as meaning 'malingering'.
I have only heard 'humdugeon' used to describe someone who feins illness to avoid work.
