Hi and <./>welcome</.> to h2g2!smiley - smiley

This site might appear to be a bit overwhelming at first look - I recommend taking the <./>DontPanic-Tour</.> to find out what it's all about.

A quick and easy way to find out what's going on right now is checking the h2g2 <./>FrontPage</.> every now and then. It's updated each weekday and contains links to the latest edited entries, talking points, most recent contributions, busiest conversations and much more.

Feisor has a collection of links and tips that you might find helpful: A719840

If you have any questions about h2g2, don't hesitate to ask me or any of the other <./>ACEs</.> - we're here to help! You'll find the most commonly asked questions - and answers - at <./>DontPanic-FAQ</.>

Enjoy exploring!

Oh, and have a smiley - bubbly - or would you prefer a smiley - stiffdrink?

Thanks for the welcome. I have been exploring at random and finding all kinds of useful, and not so useful, information which is, fortunately, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip on smiley - stiffdrink. That was more the cocktail I was looking for than smiley - bubbly although there are times when nothing hits the spot like an ice cold smiley - ale.

Ice cold smiley - ale? I guess you're not a Brit, then? I'm not, and I think an ice cold smiley - ale is the perfect drink on a hot summer's day.

Yeah, random exploratin is quite fun, isn't it? Did you know there are links that will pick up any h2g2 entry quite randomly and then, when you refresh the page, it'll pick another entry?

I was not aware of that.

I was using the infinite improbability drive, the front page, and searches for names of old friends, names of dogs, strange words I'd heard during the day (I work with folks from Australia, UK, US, Japan, and Korea) or whatever other word happened to pop into my head. This can lead to some very interesting data.

I'll have to try the randomizers as well.

Ah yes, the infinite improbability drive is the same thing as the <./>RandomEditedEntry</.>

I've never thought of using the <./>Search</.> page for random exploration!smiley - bigeyes Well, except for when I'm looking for something in specific, that is. Unfortunately, the conversation search has been temporarily turned off, so only articles and user names are searchable for the moment.

The random word searches can be quite fun. The word for the day was "squishy". I discovered a new scottish researcher with an interesting sense of humor, a pirate ship smiley - pirate with some rather strange smiley - weird members, and several other mind altering universes. It's just like smiley - magic.

Oh yes, the smiley - pirate ship is fun, a lot of role-playing going on there. There are a lot of 'virtual' places imagined into place here, some of them very active, and some of them no longer active at all.

smiley - thepost has some club pages where you can find out more if you want to: <./>ThePost</.>

Thanks for the continued ideas. I have continued my wanderings and even went so far as to post a journal entry. It appears I'm hooked on h2g2 smiley - biggrin.

Oh Shite! I appear to have fallen into the trap. A co-worker and I (both new to h2g2) found out that we were both exploring the site. We have started leaving each other h2g2 links to follow...
