Closet competition!!!
Tacysa Started conversation Jun 16, 2004
Well, it’s been a very interesting and happy week, to say the least. Not much has happened, although I am planning to do an all-day outing with my best friend (Eric the Moron). Amazingly enough, a Sundance film has come to a local theater, so we are going to see that as well as attack the local Goodwill. I found a Sgt. Pepper LP for .30 the other day. WOOT! My grandmother’s house is almost finished, so she will be out soon…I pray. I am waiting for my charges to get back. They’re at a veterinary clinic for checkups, so I’ll have them back tonight. Alice was extremely pleased with them, which means Stacy is happy.
This week, our sponsor for Stacy’s Closet Competition is…well, I guess all of the index card halves taped onto my monitor. Furniture will be the theme. Øyvind was the winner of last week’s competition. All winners should record the number of wins they get just in case mine aren’t accurate, although I only have two so far. I give you three days to answer before the competition is closed. As usual, the prize for the winning question (and yes, you have to answer all of the others to qualify) is a week in my closet with three walks, three or four meals, a bath, and a few belly rubs a day. Maybe I should open my toy box, too?
The deciding question: Within the past five minutes, yet another screw fell out of my chair. How many of the lovelies are left in? (I’m trying to see how many I can have in without the chair falling apart.)
Do you like leather furniture? Why or why not?
What is the most unattractive medium to construct furniture from?
Would/do you allow pets on your furniture?
What is more uncomfortable and what is more comfortable to sleep on than a futon?

So whose Eric?

Depends on the other features of the furniture. I like leather furniture if it has no other feature at all, if its one of the ones with those button things I hate it. Imitation doesn't cut the biscuit i am afraid.
Dog fur
I would, but my mom doesn't let us have ada on the chairs, mostly because it would probably be impossible to get her off.
It took me a wile to figure it out, but I find that the most comfortable thing you can sleep on is in fact denim beanbags in the right sleepy shape and the right amount of beans, if you can't get that a outdoor futon with a nice mattress in the full sun is always good.

I would guess that you have taken out the back screw and two from the plate on the underside, and also the second big screw on the bottom. I reckon you have 2 screws left on the underside, plus 5 that you didn't think of holding the wheels on. 7.
I have some leather furniture and its very comfortable and hard-wearing, so yes I like it. However I couldn't sleep on it and there are other materials that I prefer, although I don't know what they're called.
My cat has taken over one of our poofs with her own blanket and everything, so I suppose the answer is yes. Personally I don't have a problem with her being on the furniture, but I'm damned if she's having my poof.
What the hell is a futon?

I'd say three.
It's alright, though fabrics are definitely more cosy. Leather is slippery and gets cold.
Pink faux fur.
That would depend on how hairy they are, and what sort of furniture we're talking about. Sherman on the table, was extremely charming, for instance. Just make sure there's nothing on the table that could get broken when he knocks it down.
Well, my most uncomfortable sleeping situation would have to be a wooden bench in Thailand, and most comfortable (apart from Stacy's closet) would have to be. A sleeping bag, in the woods on a nice summer's evening.

I will complain later about a certain question, but I will save that.
What the hell is a poof, Bouncy?
A futon is a weird sort of folding couch/bed thing. They're...strange and hurt me.

A poof is just a type of foot stool, but its a funny word so I like to use it.
I just realised I missed one...the most horrible material for funiture would have to be styrofoam. That squeaking sound...

I think you will find it's spelled pouf actually. A futon looks very much like a physiologists chair

I'll say 6 and a half, so that one can get stuck without you knowing it's still there
Nah, it sticks to your legs when you wear shorts
Institutional steel and particle board painted surplus colors
Cat: yes, dog: no
How about one of the folding foam bed/chair things (known to many as "flip and f***s) Not bad as seats if you lounge but not actually designed for a good night's sleep. For good, I'd go with a huge beanbag, especially if my cat surls up against my legs

Eric is my best friend.
Alright, darakat and Carrot have the same correct answer. I need you two to answer yet another question. What color are the cushions on my chair?
I hate leather furniture. It's hot, it cracks if you abuse it, you stick to it, and it scuffs.
I honestly haven't a clue what the ugliest medium could possibly be. I think I'll say chainlink fencing.
The dogs live on our furniture. We have no furniture, it's theirs.
I think people and floors are extremely comfortable to sleep on. Lego is the most uncomfortable thing to sleep on.

Bah, I'll answer anyway. The seat's a load of different shades of brown, and the handles are black.

Tacysa Posted Jun 21, 2004
Yes, I realized that was a stupid question to ask as you've both seen my desk and a portion of my chair. Alright, name two out of the three colors on my toy box.

Flying Betty- Now with added nickname tag! Posted Jun 21, 2004
Foul, that was three colors, not two!

Well, darakat wins. It's blue, green, and white. I only counted his first two answers and green was one. Sorry, Carrot.
