I found out that my grade in trig is borderline. When I say borderline, I mean .6 of a point is between me and exemption. There's not a chance that I'll be able to exempt my chemistry final, and I really have no desire whatsoever to study for it, but aaaaaaaaaaaaagh, I'm going to have to. I realized that maybe my doctor was wise in not allowing me to be recertified for scubadiving to my great disgust. Really depressing and it makes me want to do even more to overwork myself. I hate doctors. My GP wants me to stop exercising so I can gain some weight. I feel great, why should I stop doing what I like? We've gotten our graduation test results back and we're doing the whole yearbook/annual signing thing. That's about all that's happened this week. Just for the sake of Stacy being a perverse person, I'll reveal to you my scores.

Notice how everything I do poorly at usually (math) and the stuff I usually do well at (lit and socials) are opposites? My percentiles are the exact same. It made me laugh.

Those are some sweet scores, I would be happy with them any day of the week however I have no idea how hard the test was or the obscure details that and the scoring system might be way off ours so there is a lot I don't know about it to make judgment, however if you ever look at my high school grades you would probably wonder how I got into uni, Let me just say I am famous for locking myself in my room for 3 days before collage exam week and listening to motzat (exam music of course).

The test is something that mentally handicapped people can pass. At least I only had to take it once. I don't know how I've gotten so many academic offers considering my highschool grades, either. I'm too much of a lazy bum to be bothered with work and structure. Why would you lock yourself in a room for three days and listen to Mozart? Would you study at the same time?

Ah, yes, some music is great for learning. Mozart can be like that.

I did learn that it was wise not to listen to Tchaikovsky (damn, my spelling is off) while studying.

I learnt that lesson hard with the new Jethro Tull CD's I didn't do so well that semester, i think in one of the exam style essays I hate so much (they turn out to be almost exactly the same as my rants but with less of a conversational feel), I used lyrics from "bungle in the jungle". I did however last semester plan to use a h2g2 quote - "There is a theory that if anyone ever figures out what the universe is hear for and what its purpose is, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inconceivably improbable. There is another theory that states that this has already happened. There is a third theory that says that both these first two where conceived by a willy editor of the hitch hikers guide to galaxy to raise the level of general uncertainty and therefore bossy sales of the book. Of these three theories, this is the most convincing." Of course I have no idea what my grade was but it should be interesting to find out some day.

I've used Jethro Tull quotes before, but I think they all came from 'Aqualung.'

I've used Dream Theater for study. With success, too...

I think Fastball and American folk music are most effective for me. I usually try to keep it light.

I always have something playing, but whether I'm listening to it is a different thing.

Mr. Carrot Posted May 16, 2004
I suppose it's the same with me. I think it still affects what I do, though.

Tacysa Posted May 16, 2004
I know it affects my state of mind, but I'm not sure that it really *helps* me to think. I don't really care because I love it.
