I always say any old thing will do for a dinner dance. All this silly business about ballgowns and stuff. It's bad enough I have to wear a bow tie and cummerbund and a black tuxedo.

Spent ages going into so many different shoe stores. The red shoes had to be the right red to make the dress and have the correct heels so she can dance in them. The silver shoes had to be the correect silver with the correct heels, so she can sit in them(?)
If I see another shoe shop I shall scream. As for the underwear shops

Well, I don't go shopping often, and I'll rather take a friend or my sister, than hubby.

I'm fine. Taken my case and suit to Colleen's. She is packing her dresses in my dresssuit case. Filled up the tank. Checked tyres water & stuff. Gave the patent leather shoes a quick buff.Then went & voted. God what a busy morning, it's nice to get to work and sit down and do nothing for a few minutes

Off to lunch at 14:30 back at 15:30

Didn't bring a packed lunch so went to canteen. I took the least offensive dish. A giant sausage roll, Chips & beans, Not my idea of a meal. But the only thing they couldn't ruin. Still it was food.

Yes thanks, I'm fine. Will have to cook supper soon. Roast turkey, with the left-over tagliatelle and veggies from last night. So hardly any work for me, just spice the meat and put it in the oven

Sorry new equipment being fitted. I've just been on a quick look to see how it works and if I can use it. I must be getting old. All this modern technology baffles me. The kids just pick it up. But I'm still half a mile down the road behind them.
