covering all that glorious light once found.
Silence shouts to rout all that hid in fear
Through open doors, cowardice's trail appears
Show larger loneliness yellow lines on screed,
silently laid like carpet from, corrupted need.
See unsoiled paper, flaps words to besmirch
One departed hero. Now toppled, from highest perch.


Blackened deeds tarnished what once was pure,
shadowed by sickness grown from ills to cure.
Empty magazines litter side walks: vacated bare.
Malevolence of evil now destroys all that did care.
Once again terror is the King of all but living death,
Kindness can't bring tapering of last broken raspy breath.
