The change will happen at the end of June,
and will coincide with a relaunch of the service.
There will be a new look and feel,

We can!!
Thanks for the info Bob, right up my street, we are paying over forty pounds a week Council Tax and boy does it hurt, especially when I see the non payers drawing their cash (my savings)every week at the Post Office.
Complaints to M.P.s The Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and all the Political Parties have got nowhere.
I can write their replies for them, I have had the same letters back for many years, all agree that it is most unfair but still they keep taking more and more off us.
The latest gimic is they are going to upgrade the system and charge for all improvements to property, all garages, garden sheds and conservatives sorry conservatories will be charged extra.
No mention of this at election time was there.?
Cheers H.

Well one day i will be putting all my documents regarding just this very problem for ten years i have been at logger heads with E.B.C over just that and in those ten years have collected very many letters.
all with various reasons why tax credited to one year where not shown.
Complaining that I had already paid them in 93 was told had not two years later get a letter telling me technacal overpayments where taken.
Not with standing during those two years they had liability orders served on me for non payment of these overpayments they had erroniously
failed to spot ,(this was since differing methods of transfer end of tax year benifit award being different from due date and inter departmental
calculus)
Several copies of letters from omnibudsman ,where they also have come up with various excuse for why certain actions taken ,computor error ,not scanned into system for three days ,person on leave ect.
And several letters from MP ,yet not once have charges been returned
or reasons for the various court orders served despite adminastrive delays in recalculation of monies due given for several period benifit entitlement wrongly calculated or paid at end of year.

A hot potato here Bob, let us see what develops, but the good, even great conversations on h2g2 seem to fade away without a conclusion.
I have established to my own satisfaction, that even though the P.M. thinks he is in charge, he is really under a delusion, because the civil servants can run rings round him, by interpretating the rules and regulations in their own fashion to suit their own requirements.
A very wise man once said," Have your meetings, and make your decisions, but if I can write the minutes of a meeting, I will interpret them in my favour."
The new ican looks to be quite consistant and I have added the address to favourites.

The only way to be a good PM is to make the civil servants have to run rings around you, if you know what the civil servants are going to do, then you can run everything.

Oh dear Father,!!!
When you are P.M. you too will be in the in crowd, and to get there of course you will have to be a barrister.
And having got there, being in the in crowd you too will be making your own fortune swiftly, and by allowing the Cilvil Servants and your office staff to make too many decisions that you should be making, we the poor peasants will be just as badly off as were before we voted you into your very elevated position.
Sorry no vote.
Cheers H.

I dont have to be a barrister, it just so happens that tony blair was a barrister. I will be a good prime minister, i could never promise that i would change the world but i could change something, do some small thing change some small thing.

LMScott Posted Jun 22, 2005
Thanks for the conversation, I agree that you do not have to be a barrister to be an M.P. or even a Prime Minister, but it helps. My point was that Barristers have the monopoly, they make the laws and usually to their advantage.
My adviceis, be not satisfied to make small changes,if it is worth doing, do it right and make big ones.
Like your dialogue very much, you have my vote for the job,
Cheers H.

Phoned this morning for when and where it will be paid ,was informed it was being awaiting settleing and what i had was rent officers assesment, i informed her of the details and the ommission of the date ect.
Then gave her nino ,then she said [x] amout was going to be paid 25-6-05. when i asked about arrears she said nothing was showing on screen .
she have to go and look for the file ,ten minutes later came back said will phone me back ,that was over four hours ago.

LMScott Posted Jun 24, 2005
Yes it is Bob, any definite statement is progress, especially if you can get it in writing, the spoken word is usually not worth the paper it is not written on.
Congratulations on the move too, we all need them now and again, our last one, leaving our beautiful ancient farm on the pennine hills was only three year ago so we are probably here to stay, very nice and almost like the old homestead but not quite.
We had a view of five counties including Snowdonia in Wales, now we only have the one, but as that one is a beautiful part of Lancashire it is quite a good substitute for perfection relinquist, reluctantly.
Sort out the little problem and enjoy the new home with fresh official contacts, sounds quite promising from here.
Cheers H.

The move harold was a year ago , just recently the ammount of money had comeing in work pension, incap benifit IIAB beinifit where all stopped
the stated reason given that i had not notified them of the change of address.
Given that this was last june/july ,and when i first came over was to lodgeing where i was kicked out of at two in the morning (allegations made) and all possesions retained.
Yet they paid the "alledged landlady" who cannot be named as suffers from a condition that has resulted in involentary admissions to "rothermere" "grange road" hospital type institutions. depite this and several complaint to police the authoritie,s that could have both prevented and sorted the matter did nothing, other than to pay this person 7 weeks rent when i was only there four two weeks.
then issue two liability orders for unpaid poll tax ,for a address i was supposed not to notify them i was living at .
fresh contacts ,well considering that, the same office is handleing my claim that has for the last four years, but the various pensions are
broadstairs
east sussex county council
shorham ? think js/part
st helens for administrative complaints
then the office in wellinton square
and the one in london road
And each one of these want origonal documents not photo copies of any changes.yet hapily cancil claims within two weeks with out checking other departments,(or wont put the fact the information has been recieved )
i first asked for a a judicial review ,in 2000/1 how much fresher can they be.

LMScott Posted Jun 24, 2005
I see Bob, I thought that the move was recent, however it does look as if you are finally getting a result.
Perhaps you do not know it, but when dealing with these people you should always send documents and information by recorded delivery then they can not argue, non receipt.
The bent landlady was probably given the benefit of the doubt and compensation for the accomodation being vacant and non income due to not having notice of a tenant leaving. This is even though the loss of her tenant was her own fault, in the minds of authorities it is cheaper that arguing a lost cause. Also it was easier to cut off your payments than sort the matter out properly and pay your dues.
The rules are most unfair at times and quite often wrong as well, if you still have my email address it is O.K. if you want to drop me a line, hopefully everything is going O.K. from now on.
Cheers H.

Thanks Bob,
The link is useful, and pure magic, what do you know here I am on strange new ground and having signed up, there is my own work in full view.
Strange unfamiliar magic to me, there is my own "New Transport System."
over thirty years in the making, containing accurate information and efficient transportation methods that are the legacy of the railway specialists of long ago.
Yet despite this unique information being on public view since the 13th April, using a technology completely unbelievable to the men of long ago, there are but two added comments, none at all of specialist knowledge, or as a result of a full reading or understanding of the very complicated subject.
Cheers H.
