Hiya honey. I have done a UG version of Rusalka, which has to have been the dossiest UG edit ever.

One thing I am not sure was whether you wanted the double carriage returns in the places where they are. I have put them in because I assumed that they were intentional, but let me know if they are or not.
I still love this piece.
All the best

Oh, Ta chuck. Sorry about the silence, visiting with the nice parents and only back today. Looks fine to me .
Double carriage returns, yes intentional, though not especially effective I fear. On the page I use white space to show changes in scene or time gaps. Using white (or blue) space for paragraph brakes on here reduces the effectiveness of the technique but I still prefer it to asterisks or dashes. I wouldn't mind them being removed if they niggle at your sence of neatness.
Hope your festive season was bearable.

I would really like Christmas and New Year if it wasn't for Christmas and New Year, if you see what I mean. I love having this much down-time with the rest of the world stopped too.
No, they don't niggle my sense of neatness. If you don't like dashes, I will make them bigger rather than removing them. The alternative would be a centred blockquoted horizontal line. How about I make one a line and the other a big space, and you let me know which you prefer.
Good to have you back. I've missed you being around.

'tis done - there is a longer horizontal line, a shorter horizontal line, a few stars centred on the page, and a bigger gap. Let me know which you prefer, and I'll make the others match them

Yes the hype gets to be a bit muchish and there is only so much indulgence I can indulge in but there are moments that I really enjoy. I always like new years eve, just for the few minutes astride midnight. Borders are always magical but the threshold of the new year is more so than most because everyone steps, tumbles, slopes or is pushed across at the same moment, so it becomes firmer, concentrated. Every year we get to see our world change in a monumental way with a clock ticking and the magic of it amazes me. I know that the divisions we place on time are inside our heads, but so is most of what we think of as real. Or possibly I Like new years because I'm really glad to see the back of the last year, fun it was not .
The bigger space is least obtrusive, and I want to keep the overall fluidity intact as much as possible, so I think that. Thanks ever so for taking the time. I'm really glad it's you polishing this one.

My pleasure. I really like polishing entries, and Rusalka is one of the entries which shows up how inadequate the Edited Guide is.
I'll change the breaks to a double double gap, and leave it at that.
I know what you mean about boundaries, but I find soltices stronger than New Year. One day I'll tell you what I did with my wedding ring.

Well now I'm curious! Oh and we're glad you're back, for whatever degree of back you are.
Work just got quieter so I'd better hop off to the AWW and see what's new.
