Hi Tabitca!
Thank you for your good wishes. Having the house struck by lightening, I have decided, is not my favourite pastime. We had another storm yesterday, nothing like as severe, but I just sat huddled in the corner of the settee with the dog, waiting for it to happen again.
Mind you, the 's no help, she's more terrified than I am and spent the whole time a quivering heap and tiddling herself every time there was a rumble of thunder!
I had exactly the same experience when I was 4 years old (not with the dog, that is, but with a storm), when my Mum had gone into the garden to rescue the washing because it was raining torrentially, and a thunderbolt went down the chimney of the semi- next door.
The light and noise was deafening, and it blew out part of our chimney breast into the room I was sitting in and a streak of light/fire/lightening shot across the room and connected with the metal stand of the fish aquarium. I was unharmed, but frightened silly.
My Mum was as shocked because she had seen what happened from the garden, and didn't dare to think what had happened indoors.
I climbed into the cupboard under the stairs and would not come out for 8 hours, and when I did I could not stop weeping. I did not cry as such, just wept quiet tears for hours on end.
Have gone through varying degrees of terror, fright, tolerance and eventually "oh, just get on with it woman", over the years, but I am afraid this set me back a tad!
Anyway, how are you Tabitca. I haven't kept up too well with your job situation - is that OK. I expect you miss your daughter greatly, did she come home for Easter?
Hope your s are well.... for them both.
Take care UG

I'm glad you are ok UG. I was thinking about you, what an experience, poor UG.
I'm just hanging in there....there has to be a light at the end of the tunnel. If I could just find a torch......
