Just dropped by,...Yes, I also enjoy my computer so much.It opens up the world in so many ways..but I have my son near by to heip! !Computers can be like 3 years sometimes..they get crankey..& you have to know just the right thing to get them going "your way" I was never interested in "chat rooms" one bit...I landed here purely by accident...But the people are so wonderful and interesting that I visit often...You are a wonderful story teller....

And a quick hello back! I was going to say that you would only generally catch me on here at night, then I saw where you lived and I suppose midnight here (UK) would be about 3pm for you. I am a night shift worker, a granny, only two years off retirement (can't wait) and very much happy on hootoo.
I am glad you enjoyed "Water, water...". Even though it was frustrating at the time, I could see the funny side even as it was happening.
I have visited your space and love the sound of where you live. So near a volcano! Doesn't that worry you a tad?
Right, the guys are arriving for work - better get them organised... chat again soon, drop in any time.

Hi..! Yes it is 3:30 PM here, Sunday afternoon...But I am also very much a nite owl,tho...Worked the nite shift at a hospital. and am now retired ?? HA.. I work a bit on call from time to time......Love nite shift...Not a lot of traffic going & coming...Nice work,nice people, nice lunch room....and I am a good "napper" so I am up at all Odd hours...
***.... Not to worry about volcano....It is far enough away....But I have a good view of it a few blocks away....It is not like a volcano in Hawaii...This one does not have hot burning lava rolling out....They put a sound meter on it on about the 12th and it is the sound of rolling rocks and many small earthquakes...and in about 2 days the dome opened up and in fell the meter...It will be replaced, cost $1,000...The worry to us if there would be a big eruption like in 1980...Is just the ash...Very good for the garden...but not your lungs...or driving you car through it...It is insidious. it is so fine...It looks like snow falling.... Also the prevailing winds off the mountain is to the North....and there are far fewer towns & people that direction...Besides Portland,700,000 people to the south is Vancouver,Wasington, 300,000.and lots more people are all over the place...We did get a lot of ash in '80 , but not on the first big day...but a few days later.... Nice view of the mountain right now, but no steam....But too late for evening sun,,It is now 4;40 here now[ I have been here & there while writing this]
