I`m Neugen ,but-for the life of me-can`t access H2g2 as such.So I`ve had to hijack my mate`s site (pythonfan).I`ve re-registered,but have yet to receive my confirmation letter-despite several letters beseeching BBCi for 1.I tend to get mildly down during winter-it manifested last Christmas as waking up & simply not wanting to go on-line.I know I left you before Bali in my travels,& intend to resume the narrative soon;if nothing else it`ll help me remember!! I the new `s!! So I`ve +ed you to pythonfan`s friends list...I guess it`s not a bad nickname...just needs a few additions

Wow!
I thought I'd lost you for ever! I am SO pleased to hear from and know you are all right. Haven't been so good myself on the run up to Christmas and just after, but seem to be back on top now.
Take your time with the travel tales, I shall look forward to them.
Take care UG

Lovely to hear from you!! We`ve inherited a ,who delights in rousing me at the un-godly hr. of 5am.I`m NOT a a.m. person,so this is somewhat of a shock to my system .It also tends to make me doze off during the day .I the new `s!Her Highness Lady Greystripe plays a mean game of bottle-cap , adores eating flower arrangements , but most of all s eating!! Now I thought s didn`t overeat-but this 1`ll weigh 30lb. in no time!!Just from dry food~ I won`t let her outside as we`ve chickens & all sorts of s..So she goes after s,toes,hands,arms-& the back of my HEAD!Ouch!Must chase her around the room now as she just attacked the back of my head-again!!

Oh! She sounds just my type Full of spirit , entertaining , lively , and funny
I am owned by three cats, but they are all very slow. One is very old, is an invalid and stays indoors and all day (she is 14). One is 17 and a very affectionate , but just tends to snuggle up on a convenient lap/cushion/rug/pile of washing and all day. And the other is 8, and is obviously finding food in another location, as well as being fed at home, and is like a little rotund barrel with four legs sticking out the bottom. She has two speeds - "dead slow" and "stop"!
The daren't lay still too long or they find they become a comfy pillow/bed for whichever cat is about at the time. Unnerves the border collie something shocking!
Oh well, better go and attack some w**k, I suppose.
Take care UG

UG~
we`ve never haad a before,alwayss..This 1 will never go outside as we`ve s & a plethora of s.But,as of last night, she`s proved her worth. She caught 1&1/2 s.Shhhh,Gary`s afraid of .We were going batty, since she`d wake us up at 5am...& I`m NOT an a.m. person! Not that she killed them, mind you-she plays w/them!Gary delights in teasing her-until she claws him.My housemate got 'Her Highness Lady Greystripe'/Annabelle/Kitty!! as a playmate for her 3 kids.Well,Kitty doesn`t like 3 yr. olds squeezing her-so she clawed them/her.Jake,a male Yve adopted along w/Kitty is mellow as can be..They kept him!Now Gary teases her until she claws him,but those 2 are in .I`m amazed at how s dominate one`s life-unlike s,who accompany one thru life.I do wish she`d leave dried flowers & peacock feathers alone though. The she`s stalking is really cute! A tiny thing w/big ears, cute eyes,& a black nose.Thing is- she picks it up in her mouth & carries it like a kitten .Listen to me,carrying on like a doting mom!!

Hi Dear!
Neugen here ( or pythonfan).Gary killed our computer, but we're on vacation at our Ventura friend`s house!
It never occured to me that by downloading music 24/7 one might wear out one`s pc.Or, that by killing the CD burner, we aren`t able to load any program on to our computer. I`m waiting for laptop prices to drop to say,300$...then I`m getting myself 1.
We`ll be here till mid-August,so I`ll hopefully have time to catch up

Where have you BEEN!!??
'Sokay, I have seen your explanation of fried computer, so I guess I know where you've been. Or rather, not been.
So much to tell, so little time to start. (W**k is calling). However, I am to be a Granny again in January , that will do for starters.
Hope you get our laptop soon, I enjoyed our exchanges and quite miss you.
Will keep in touch whilst you are on vacation and near a computer, let me know when you are about to be cast adrift in the wilderness again! However, night getting busy now, so can't stop.
Take care, speak to you shortly, UG

it`s to be talking again~
It never occured to me that, perhaps,Gary was using our pc a tad too much; I when the CD burner-read/write drive died..it didn`t occur to me that we would be unable to re-install any programs--it wasn`t that we could no longer burn CD`s...it was .
1 day,the pc wouldn`t start. Gary finally called Dell: they said it was /dead...
A few months later, after I`d gone thru seperation anxiety due to no access to my friends..apruptly..Gary decided to run the Dell self-diagnose program.....it WORKED!!
Now we are visiting w/our multi-memoried pc friends,
I can learn `s again~
So +++ to hear from you!

here...,pythonfan that is
Well, soon after we got to Ventura,R`s pc was so infected that it was useless..So I`ve been w/out a pc for several weeks--again--!! I think what happened was that we,independantly, both downloaded 'Spybot'. W/in a week both our systems crashed~After several days, both our computers came back to life w/the message that the pc had recovered fr. a 'near fatal error'.So, trogan horse! how original ~It`s about time for a new level of virus,(maybe Virus+)-undectable to virus screens/the next level of evolution for the virus because it utilizes a trogan horse to enter the system..thus letting it be known that this is a direction being developed for the immediate future~

here,
was I in Bali or Australia when I left off? I so desperately need a nice wall-sized map to remind myself where I`ve been~
I turned 50 this May! Not freaked out but realizing that one never thinks one is aging...one only can act that way
for h2g2 !

Have been trekking about the site a bit and managed to break into your old space!! So I have cut and paste the last entry you made about your travels, just so you know where you got to.
There were a lot more entries after that, but mostly chat, including the on-going joke of my entering the next day before you and telling you if it was OK or not!! Well, so far Monday is OK, so you can enter!
Your last entry as follows

Rotawura (sp).Mid-way down the N island of New Zealand. You can walk out onto the thermal, bubbly ground.Hot springs abound. The area looks like something fr. a sci-fi movie.Lots of bubbling mud, vents for hot gases, nothing growing. There are an excellent series of paths laid out where it`s safe to walk. Then S to Wellington, a lovely windy place that`s reminicent of San Francisco, but much smaller, cleaner,& w/many more spaces for parks, the great outdoors,& nature.NZ`s N. island buts-up to the equator, so it`s warmer than the S. island.Which has even more than people. That`s where the Milford Trek is,& the 1 we went on-the name escapes me- ,it`s driving me .Wait, the ruteburn trek.I`m sure I`ve mangled the sp.,but yes- we went on the Ruteburn trek because the Milford trek was completely booked!!!I remembered !! In NZ,the famous hiking trails have huts along their route. To spend the night. So everybody can hike,no matter what their age! The huts have a privy,a kitchen w/gas stoves, bunkbeds,a wrap-around porch. They are located every 20 miles or so along the trails.Maybe 15 miles. They have h2o too.I remember marveling at them, knowing full well that in the usa, they`d be vandalized-wrecked,most likely. But in NZ, they were there for all to use;& made trekking available to everyone. Not just the young-ens.It`s truely gorgeous scenery. The # of people allowed to impact it are monitered,so things won`t be destroyed by over-use.I so wish that could happen here.In reality? HA! no way.
must check backlog...to be continued...we took a ship & cruised by the glaciers on the S. island.Stunning.Beautiful.worth the $."
If you want to know how to get back in to your old space, let me know and I'll guide you through.
Happy Monday

for the Monday report,~
It`s tre to know that you`ve already checked it out ...So I was to the Routburn Trek-that`s in the S.Island,I think...So we started in Aukland & worked our way down towards the S.Island.When we were there,1981,sheep outnumbered the human inhabitants of the S. Island. We went on a sea cruse, the better to admire the fjords at the tip of the S.Island...
, friends are telling me I must join them for a telly show.( 6ft. under--HBO

...Aol is NOT a great ISP,it manages to (freeze) R`s pc;of course its the only isp that does this. There are more things(aren`t there always?)... To read my mail...I have to go to Aol..I never make it through the 1st time I try - the pc , & I have to re-start R`s pc.This state of affairs could easily be resolved if we got, say,Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox...or Earthlink. But no!,G won`t quit Aol `cos his family is on Aol
See how much I`ve learned in the past year or so! I know about alternate ways of do-ing computer stuff `cos R&B are sort-of explaining things to me
It`s almost 6am!! up all night,
ps,when I can think again,I do want to find what you`ve learned about my old page~ now it`d flow right thru my brain~
