Hi was just browsing and read your details. I'm very new to all of this too. This is the first message I've left so feeling nervous .
I'm in my mid fifties and help to manage a very busy reception/admin team in a local hospital.
I have one grown up daughter still at home and alovely husband.
I am a Londoner born near Kentish Town now living in North London.
I joined this site as a joke because I love Hitchhikers Guide and BBC Radio and came across it all by accident. I have read other peoples details but yours was the first one that I could understand so I thought I'd leave a message.

Hi suephisticat!

It was a lovely suprise to open up tonight for the first time in a week and get a message from someone new.

I am usually on here most days, but have had a hectic "granny" week because two of my grandchildren have the chicken pox. They are both from the same family, one is only 14 months old, and my daughter was tearing her hair out, so have been doing a bit of "spot" nurturing, armed with calamine lotion and lots of "virtual" hugs because to touch either of them sent them in to floods of tears because it made the spots itch! What a nightmare!

Hope you have managed to find your way about a bit. I have done the usual thing and plunged straight into replying to you without looking at your space..... perhaps I should pop over there now
