Hi OG,
Sorry for asking all the time, but don't forget that you encouraged me. Also, the tea will be on me this time.
1- Can I use your e-mail to give it to Kirsti and then you forward me her e-mail and reply?
2- Can you copy your messages here and mine also and put them in a folder then send it to me, or this will be too much for you to do? I'm afraid that everything I wrote here can't be accessed after closing the board. I copied some, but I don't have time for doing the others.
Thanks a lot.

It's no good running round like a chicken with its head cut off. There are better ways to accomplish your second, so please hold off and invest your valuable time elsewhere for the moment. As for your first, I think it will suffice for me to say here that if Kirsti would like to do that you are both welcome to do it. Right Kirsti? Therefore, in this matter also, do nothing except wait and let's see what happens in the next few days.
And this is my house, my and ! Help yourself and make yourself at home. (There are fresh, made just this morning, blueberry muffins in the big green china pot right next to where I keep the butter.)
Dems da rules!

It's funny - I am sure I saw a way to contact OG when Raneem wanted to get a beautiful Personal Space. I've reread the discussions from that time and I can't find the details. Moderators must have passed by there.
I am not against the idea of giving you (Old Goat or Raneem) my address, but I don't want any spam or unknown fans to contact me. Well, see you - but how?

What a lovely expression OG, It's no good running round like a chicken with its head cut off, Well, well, who is this chichen, of course it's not me. You didn't tell me what I should do OLD GOAT, you didn't give me a solution. Add this adjective to those related to goats, "elusive- evasive- slippery, always on the move". YOU ARE freeeeeeeeee, I'm sure, so why not enjoy your sweet time doing something useful??? Just teasing you.
What lovely food you have!!wow, delicious. Why don't you make some and put it in my space, the fridge is empty there.
We are in your space now, so the tea is on you that's why I'll drink it all
Bye

Hi, Kirsti,
The expression 'It's funny is said in English as "It's funny haha" to distinguish it from "It's funny peculiar." We have no 'peculiar' emoticon here in hootoo. It must be just about the only emoticon unavailable!
I can't remember exactly how or where I explained to Raneem that I use the goatfold as an email specifically and only for public consumption and, in fact, only ever check mail there if I'm expecting a reply to [email protected] which I am now and which when I receive it will be forwarded. The house rules here allow such things so we can't/mustn't blame the moderators for removing it because they probably haven't. I admit, although I usually post it in a 'personal space' from which it is removed as soon as the purpose is fulfilled, I think I didn't do that this time. Any, way, enough gobbledygook.

Hello raneem,
You ask:
2- Can you copy your messages here and mine also and put them in a folder then send it to me,
You don't need me to do that. You can access, and will continue to be able to access, all the conversations (or 'messages' as you call them) to which you are subscribed from your 'Personal Space' here in hootoo. You don't even need to be signed in. This means you can equally well access the conversations to which the 'old you' is subscribed, from the 'Personal Space' of the old you as well as the conversations to which I am subscribed from my 'Personal Space'. (Understand, however, that the list of conversations to which I am subscribed is short because I 'unsubscribe' from older conversations. (The conversations still exist, of course, and are accessible if you know how, but it might inconvenient or it might be impractical.)
What I do NOT know is how accessible the message board itself will continue to be. I suspect it will remain unchanged and forever unchangeable.
Is this what you need to know? And is this what you need?

Hi OG,
Thanks a lot. What I understand is that all the boards will be closed including h2g2. Anyway, I already did it, I copied many of my old and new contributions and saved them in a folder.
Bye, enjoy your sweet time,
Raneem.

Hi!
What on earth have you read which leads you to believe that? Interested people are dying to know!
Regardless of whether your action is justified, if you keep it up I'll need to find another name for you so stop it!

A warm hello to you, OG. I really don't want to miss the opportunity of greeting you! Did you bake your cheese cake? How about sharing some of it?
I'll reply to your other message very soon.
Hello, Raneem,
How are you? Don't give me the shock of my life by saying that all BBC boards are going to be closed for good. It's only the 'LE' board that's bearing the brunt for now. What do you think about posting in the 'Village Hall'?
Hope your CELTA classes are going good.
Take care
Cheers!

Hi Bluepearl,
Don't panic, Mr OG said that h2g2 will be running, so sure I misunderstood; this is why I asked for your e-mails, but since this h2g2 will be there so no need for them now. If I have a question, I'll write it here.
Bye

I see no reason that the entire record of the Ask a question board should not be retained and be accessible. However, because the board itself will cease to exist it will be necessary to take specific steps to make sure one retains access to the archive.
So, what steps did you mean by this?

Old Goat Posted Nov 27, 2007
Simply that if BBC's own site no longer provides links to where we want to go we will need to know addresses so we can get there without links.
These things are, if not in hand at least firmly in mind, so far anyway. Concentrate on CELTA. If, a few days before the close you are still not confident then is the time to remove head and run frantically.
