Gnomon - time to move on Started conversation Dec 16, 2013
I'm subbing your Toblerone Trisection entry at A87816847. Remember to subscribe to it.
I made two changes:
1. I changed your labelling of the vertices from uppercase to italic lowercase, to match common practice and the diagrams.
2. I reword the sentence about dividing an 11-chunk bar.
Let me know if you're happy with these or not.

Thanks Gnomon - a couple of things:
I'd put the second sentence in the indicative throughout:
"Using a knife and chopping board is fairer…" (rather than "… would be fairer…")
I'd reduce the size of the diagram in Step 1 (I probably should have submitted it at the same magnification as the others)
I'm also a little concerned that I labelled the diagrams "step 2" and "step 3" where this isn't the same numbering used in the text. What do you think?

How about if we drop the first diagram, and I change the others to say "step 1" and "step 2"?

I think it needs a clear explanation of the vertices. I could reword it so that understanding the vertices is step 1. Give me a day.

Well, I've produced revised versions of those diagrams now (labelling as Step 1 and Step 2). Let me know if you need them and I'll send them in.

I've just mailed the new versions to the artists, and asked them to let you know.

Thanks, Icy. It is always best to get the pictures right and work the text around them, rather than make do with inferior pictures.

How are you getting on with this Entry please? Are these illustrations the ones you need?

No. Icy realised that the titles on the diagrams don't match the text so he sent in three new ones. I'm waiting for them to be uploaded/applied. There might then be a sentence or two to be changed, then it will be ready to go.

Since I'm not a sub anymore I won't be able to return it. When the time comes, the best thing you can do is take it back, allocate it to yourself, remove my name, and return it. This will move it on to the next stage.

Thanks, I thought so. I just needed it confirmed. However, I will leave your name on this Entry as the sub. The final bits really come into the realm of polishing.

Just don't forget to apply the correct diagrams when they're ready. I suggest the first one is removed completely, and you just use the two new ones which will be labelled step 1 and step 2 (they're currently incorrectly labelled step 2 and step 3) Hope this makes sense.

I will do so. I've looked at the new diagrams, and as soon as the Artists have uploaded them I will switch them over.
