When I started I found <./>A573833</.> So you Want to be a good Ace - to be a really good place to start as it sets out the "conventions" that we use.

I have made a "Hints and Links for New Researchers" page at <./>A719840</.> you are more than welcome to use it at any time for your Welcomes if you find that it’s useful.

Also, in case anyone hasn't mentioned it - if you run into any new researchers who come up as another site besides hootoo (Sense of Place etc) don't ACE them - we only do this site and 360 (you'll find the 360 Welcome at A726419 ) other new ACEs have made that mistake - not a problem - but better to know before you start..

And Abi has asked us to "yikes" newbies who state that they under 16 - they should not post any contact details without parental permission. Just leave a friendly note in your welcome to let them know what's happening - they will then get an email from the mods.
