h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Just hoping you had a clear night for the big show. Up here is a clear and warm evening i just hope it holds.

It's cloudy and cold here, there was a bit of clear sky last night and I managed to see one meteor. Ah well, I'm used to missing this one every year.

thats really to bad, I was hopeing to stay up late tonight but it looks like I will have to work tomorow. Do you know wich way to face to see perseus? I think its north but I can never remember.

depending on what time you look its north-ish. it's near Cassiopeia in the Milky Way.
I usually have a really good view of the Geminids in December so I don't worry too much about missing the Perseids, As long as I catch one good show a year I'm happy.

You didn't miss anything. The moon was so bright that I only saw 5 meteors in about 2 hours. Guess I will be waiting till november for the next one.

I find that the geminids in december are usually the best show, and oddly enough it's usually clear here for them.
