Guide Entries
Posted Apr 27, 2003
My mental state has returned to this dimension, even if I'm not quite sure where exactly. It's a bit damp though. Hmmmm.
I'm thinking about what I'd like to do a Guide entry about. I'm thinking about:
Vincent Motorcycles
Peter Gabriel
Ceramics
Land Rovers
And quite a few other odd bits as well. I'm going for another think.

One of those days....
Posted Apr 27, 2003
I'm having a very odd day. Everyone is ignoring my text messages, I've had no replies to the e-mails I've sent and people keep pulling out on me when I'm in the car. I think I've fallen into another leg of the Trousers of Time. It could be listening to too much early Genesis and Pink Floyd that's doing it. I tend to drift off into a rather odd frame of mind when I do that...
I think I may go slightly mad for a while. Excuse me while I find a small lake that thinks it's a gin & tonic.

Education
Posted Apr 7, 2003
I'm wondering about going back to college and getting some useful qualifications this time! Thinking about Engineering, probably Layout Engineering which is a group we have at work of people who design the layouts of equipment, earthing, conductors etc. Does anyone know what qualifications I might need? Any advice would be great. Do these people work anywhere else, perhaps under a different title? Maybe you are one! Feel free to stop by.

Stoke-on-Trent

I wonder if I am the only h2g2-er in Stoke? I've left a message on the Stoke-on-Trent pages, but all the threads are old. Surely its not just little old me?

Communication
Posted Apr 6, 2003
Having an interesting chat about communication & relevance of same, and whether trivial chit-chat is good on H2G2. Interesting. Got me thinking about how we communicate on a daily level, and how much of it is because we think we ought to, rather than because we want to talk to someone. Like the person @ work you can't stand but always say "hi" to because you think you should. The things we do....!
