Just wandering through and thought I'd give a wave to a fellow outdoorsey-type. Do you find much time to get out and about? Stoke on Trent seems quite conveniently close to the Peak District, which can't be bad!

Hey Dolt!
Stopped by your page, you're quite a writer aren't you!! Bit spooky though...I like outdoorsy things, though in answer to your question I don't get out nearly as much as I would like cos I'm normally too tired after a week @ work! 
Also spooky, I work in engineering too, but on the power transmission side, and am thinking about getting some qualifications...not sure yet. Will stop by your electricity generation bit soon and let you know my thoughts! Most of my family worked in that field so I know a bit about it. As for Dinorwig/Dinorwic (does anyone have the final word on how you spell the damn place?) we did a substation there a few years back, also I did a very good (if I say so myself) geography project on it a good few years ago, so I'll go & have a look @ your page to refresh my memory.
Last spooky thing - I know Beeston rather well, I lived in Nottingham for a while, in Hucknall to be exact.
Good eh?
Oh and I like real ale too.

Just been and had a look @ your electricity pages. If you want to know about National Grid Transco (as they are now), I'm your girl. We build/refurbish substations and they're our biggest customer, so I know a few people there. Also, my uncle was a substation inspector so I can ask him. Their website's quite good too. Nice article on Dinorwig btw.

Yes, I can be a little(!) verbose when I put my mind to it (or I'm when I'm 
). Happily for everyone, I don't often put my mind to it so you're probably safe.
Since G and C can be pretty interchangeable in Welsh, I very much doubt there's a definitive spelling. I think Dinorwic is generally accepted as English and the g-version Welsh. Most credit for that article to Jaziniho and the smart bods in Peer Review though!
Any help you can give on the electricity project will be very gratefully recieved! Hopefully I'll be able to get it moving again next month after some coursework's been handed in 
Hmm, you've just reminded me how much I like that rainbow smiley... I wish I could find a use for it more often
