Glad I "reactivated" my hootoo account during the holidays. I´ve had great fun here the last week . The side effects are that I tend to spend to much of my nights here... easily

Im supposed to be. I had my op last thursday, and was supposed to rest, but i cant rest, its not a good day if i havnt had a 'fight' with D,

Yeah, so im up and about and hobbling. I intend to get better soon, so i can go shopping! Lol.

I love H2G2, its so much fun. A great way to waste 9 hours a day

At least you save money when you can´t go shopping.

Anyway I must get up later today. The cat is going to the vet.

She´s going to be sterilized. There are plenty of kitties out there that needs a home if I´d like another one.

Ishta was adopted some four months ago. Her previous owner got a boyfriend who turned out to be allergic, and the owner chose the boyfriend...

There are plenty of boys... give up a cat...

The main reason I´m taking her to the vet, is that she has frequent estrous periods, only three weeks apart. She doesn´t eat, or sleep that much, during those periods and has lost weight. I´m sure she´ll be better off afterwards.

Tink, my cat, has these mood swings, whihc we think is because of the rabbit. He just stays upstairs all day!

We are going to see the vet to see if hes depressed!

Back from the vet. Kitty is VERY dizzy and appears as if she is stoned drunk...

Left her at 3pm and picked her up 3 hours later. She hardly woke up when fetched. No she sleeps at a baby duvet on the floor in my bedroom, thoroughly watched and guarded by the dragon princess. Kitty tries to get up every now and then, but she only manages to take a few steps before tumbling back to the floor, and fall asleep again.

She was also vaccinated. Don´t know what the disease is called in English. It a kind of viral disease that affects cats.

Friday morning:

Ishta is better off now. A little grumpy, moves slower, even walks. She ususally runs. She was found on top off a bookshelf, over 2 metres high, in the middle of the night. I guess she´s going to be her ususal self pretty soon.

Not hungry yet. Just licked her breakfast a little this morning. And somewhat annoyed about the bandages on her tummy.

Aww, that poor cat!

I think it may have had cat flu!

How is kitty today?

has slept most of the day, and she has managed to chew away most of the cotton wool the vet covered her surgical incision with.

Jumps easily up and down tables, shelfs and such, so I think she´s doing pretty well.

Talking ´bout cats and them being scared by other animals.

One of my colleagues, A, and his wife lives in the country side. They have two old lazy cats that occasionally prey on mice. Last summer another colleague, B, asked A if they could leave the pet rats in their custody during a short summer vacation.

The stipulated day B and his son arrived at A´s house with two big fat rats in a cage. The cats were of course curious and went to have a look at the rats.

Then things weren´t as expected. The cats were scared off! So for the remaing time the cats only went indoors to eat and to sleep upstairs. They were afraid of the rats. When the rats went back home, the cats were said to have been very happy.
