Guten Morgen, Ms Mess,
I thought I would say "Hello".
As you are a writer of childrens' books (I think), have you ever come across this anthology - "A Golden Land": 1st pubbed 1958, edited by James Reeves. It's a fantastic collection of stories, poems, songs etc. you'll find a few good copies at - http://www.abebooks.co.uk/
If you don't already have it, I recommend you buy it. 1st editions are very cheap.
Let me know what you think.
Pip Pip !

Thanks Perry - I shall check it out immediately... I mainly write for 'young' people who are in the first flush of teenage-hood - but am toying with an idea at the moment for young readers on the subject of losing a parent... The idea is intended for young readers but would suit anyone I think... Death sometimes can be a little all consuming I feel, so wanted to put something optomistic and joyous out there for a change...
Anyway, very serious reply and it wasn't intended to be so...
I am away to the bed chamber my dear, for an early night - I am flagging - don't you love semaphore!?!
Toodle pip dear boy.
