Here I am, lying up above,
I wonder if I was ever loved...

My name is Jade and today I have turned but three.
Today I should be happy, but I am sad, I must have been naughty, why else would mummmy and daddy be so mad...?!

I wish I was clever, like my sister and brother,
then maybe I would get some affection from mother.
I wish I was better, I wish I weren't ugly,
then maybe mummy would want to hug me.
I'm always good, I always say sorry,
should this mean I deserve a smacked botty?!
I dare not say a anything at all, it always causes mummy and daddy to brawl.
I try to stay out of the way,
but I'm only young, I need care night and day.
Please don't lock me in the cupboard again, I can't stand being in the dark alone,
all I want is a happy home.

For my birthday I got a black eye,
the ugly wrd spoken made me cry.
In the later hours of the night, in stumbled my dad looking like a terible site.
I whimpered and backed against the wall,
over my dad went, he had a fall.
He blamed me for the state he was in,
on his face he bared a grin.
I could see the hatred in his eyes,
'I'm sorry daddy, I love you' I would cry.
He gave a groan, picked me up,
and against the glass table I was thrown.
I lay there limp, my bones shattered and broken,
he walked out of the door, with a final ugly word spoken.

I am in a better place now, all fluffy and white, I even have the power of flight.
A all over white man tells me I'm an angel,
I say I am Jade and I am but three, I wish my mummy and daddy
would suffer for their crimes to me.
Wish no more little girl, for these people who have sined, will go straight to burn in hell.

I can not think why my mummy and daddy gave me abuse...cause for this act there is no excuse...

that made me cry its a shame how people can abuse such a precious gift as a child

O.M.G where did you get that story from sian.
thats has realy up set me reading that.
How can any one do that to there child or any other human being its a sin and a tragedy that should never happen. BUT it does all the same.

It made me laugh...probably because its my pathetic attempt write my first poem lol.
But yeah it is sad, I don't know how anyone can do it.

Believe it or not but it came from my bonce! .
Its based on the life of a little girl who lived near me, I tried calling social services several time to report the parents...but by the time the took some notice the lil girl died from injuries caused by a beating from her drunk dad .

Awwwww don't say you'll be sad for the rest of the day .

Well after Jade died her dad was sent to prison for 2 years, but only did 1 and her mum was cleared of all charges because there was no proof that she hurt Jade (I know for a fact she did).
This was 4 years ago, they have 2 other kids (who they cherish) and 2 years ago had a lil boy...who they abused like they did Jade...a few months ago they moved to Manchester, I asume that the poor boy is still abused , makes me boil that these scum can get away with is

sian it was me who asked about the parents.. thats dispicable they both deserved to rot in jail. the mother was just as guilty even if she didnt actually physically hurt that little girl because she new what the father was doing. so it makes her just as guilty if not more..

I know it really upsets me that they can get away with doing this.
It makes me boil that they worship their two elder children and yet inflict pain upon an innocent young child, who is merely a baby.
The father came from a background full of abuse, he is an alcoholic and a drug user so I don't expect anything good to come out of that scum. But the mum is a middle classed woman from a loving family, I don't know why she would do such a thing!

People like that dont deserve to be blessed with children..
there are people out there that would make brill parents that are unable to have children.
then theres so many horrible parents that abuse there kids and find it easy.. i hope someone finds out what they are realy like and inflicts pain on them..
its nothing more than what they deserve.
scum is to good a word for them..

Its a shame a majority of child abuse is ignored, it must be shear hell for the child to live in pain and fear all their childhood, can really upset them for later life...if they survive that is.
I hate the way a child's injuries can be passed off that the child fell or had a scrap in the playground, social services should investigate more.

i think social sevices need more skills to detect child abuse.. we have heard so many times children been hurt or killed,That social services has been warned about. then on the other scale people have been wrongly acused..

If a report as been made then i think it should be followed up and investigated thourally..

another thing that makes me sick is the times children are temparally put in foster care because they have had some abuse from a familly member then put back in to that same enviroment..
