Hi Mol

I do hope you didn't think me too controlling about rushing off with your gingerbread house explanation. It just fitted into the scheme for Christmas recipes so well, I couldn't resist it. Plus, it's a damned fine bit of writing! I am not going to make a habit of that sort of hit and run, just that we have a time slot of only a week or two before I'd like to see your Entry on the front page.

The Guide Editors are really trying hard to get more people writing for the Edited Guide, and other places too. I think my main aim is to show that it is a friendly place, and actually quite fun at times. If you have any suggestions, I'd be really glad for some observations.

I also wanted to say that although we don't bump into each other much in the threads, whenever I read something that you post, I inevitably start nodding my head in agreement. So, if you have no objection, I'd like to add you to my Friends list.

No, not at all, it's exactly the sort of kick up the **** I need. I should write more entries, I know that, but I never know what to write about. So being told, you've just written one, is useful.

And I always welcome new friends smiley - smiley

I will try to look at it again today - I'm unexpectedly at home, but do have a lot of tidying up to do around the house!

No pressure, this can just sit quietly in Peer Review now. Houses need tidying, I am just looking at mine and despairing!

Erm, you know what you did with the gingerbread house thing? Well I've written a post in the taking children to theme parks thread which seems to be entry material ...

If you could do whatever it was you did last time (although if that's simply a cut and paste job I really ought to be able to do it myself smiley - blush) then that would be great.

I suggest that you copy it all and paste it into a new Guide Entry on your personal space. Then you can edit it as you see fit, adding in anything that strikes you as needing more information.

If you feel you want help with shaping it further before putting it into Peer Review you could submit it to the Edited Guide Workshop where the volunteers would make helpful suggestions, but it may not be necessary to do that as it looks pretty comprehensive as it stands.

No worries about putting it into GuideML, either I or the sub editor could do that if you wanted to leave it in plain text. Just add 'headers' in block caps if so, where you think there should be some.

Maybe to be really helpful, you could find some relevant links to other Edited Guide Entries and either make a note in the Entry itself or list them in the Peer Review thread.

If you've any further queries, I'll be happy to help.

good luck with this, it looks perfect for the Guide smiley - biggrin
