Yes, I HAVE got much better things to do, but you know what curiosity did! And I did read it. You have some clever bits on your space. I haven't progressed that far yet, and probably never will :o)

I will come back and take another look when I do have time, but couldn't let your dig go unchallenged. As we seem to have at least one thing in common, i.e. the Albatross Petition, I thought I would see where you are.

Lucky you, Devon is lovely. I am in the Midlands, but it is still beautiful especially on a day like today (no rain).

Back soon,

Hi Websailor!

Thanks for visiting my Pesonal Space, it gets quite lonely here smiley - winkeye

Devons great, though I'm just studying down here at Exeter: I'm origionally from Essex, which isn't so picturesque. smiley - sadface

It's great that someone is looking out for the Albatross, and other wildlife (it seems, from your space) http://www.care2.com looks good, I'll root round there for a bit. Actually your space looks quite cool itself. smiley - cool

Yours,

smiley - ta I try my best, though it is rarely good enough smiley - wah

Can't imagine Essex being too bad. Birmingham is a lot better than most people think, but you still can't beat the country. I enjoy the voluntary work, and I meet lots of people when I am out and about. I get stuck at home quite a lot so it is nice to "talk" to other people. I am gradually finding other researchers with similar interests, so this site gets more interesting.

I have spoken on the phone to John Ridgway and his wife. It is a strange feeling speaking to someone on a yacht in the middle of the ocean, smiley - schooloffishbut they seemed glad of another voice smiley - biggrin. I am hoping they will get some media coverage here when English Rose Vl reaches London in June. I might try contactin some of the London papers nearer the time. The Petition is doing better than I thought which is encouraging.

I quite enjoy having my own "patch" and if it helps my wildlife concerns, then so much the better.

See you around,

smiley - wow Spoken to John himself smiley - laugh

If we can get the h2g2 italics to contact some papers, they can do it with the official BBC notepaper, and that will look good. They might want to tell BBCi news.

smiley - goodluck Good luck with the petition!
