Cheers for the welcome bob, but I cant use that username because someone else has it, but h2g2 was abit late on telling me it was already in use...
Thanks anyway and I'll be sure to send a message to chat when I have sorted everything out..

Thanks for the message!
Someone else has your accout!?! (probably getting wrong end of stick) If someone's stolen your account [email protected] may be able to help. In fact, they should be able to help with anything.
Thanks bob

Thats not what I mean mate, Someone already has that login name I made up, but I only just got the message, it got delayed or something.
No worries, sorting this name out now
do you know how I can get the researchers badge into my space?
Thanks bob

I knew that (honest)
The GuideML code for the researcher thing is:
The <./>GuideML-PictureLibrary</.> has a full list.
But first you'll need to be in GuideML mode (use the circular buttons at the bottom of entry when editing). Look at the <./>GuideML-Clinic</.> for help on GuideML (or ask me )
When you do this, all your "enter characters" where you go onto a new line will be ignored, so you should use instead.
Also, your will need to become <SMILEY TYPE="love"/>
And your <./>online</.> will need to be online.
Good luck with all that!

Star... nobody has got your other account...
The page has simply been moderated, probably because something on it broke the house rules, if you check your e-mails you should have received a mail telling you what was wrong, and by logging into your old account, pressing the edit button and removing whatever it was that they didn't like then you should get your old page back...
Hope that helps, I know it can be a pain in the neck 'loosing' an account...

Don't Panic, that's a little GML trick called a viewer tag...
if you put into a page formated into GML then whoever looks at the page actually sees their own login name displayed on the page...
When I looked at that I saw my own name....
Have a look at A2226827 to see what I mean...

Star, are you using a digibox or a PC...?
It's easy with a PC, if you run across a page and you'd like to see how it was done, just edit the address at the top of your browser...
for instance, to see how
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A1038430
is put together, just look at:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/test1038430
(just replace the 'A' with 'test'
If its a user page (starts with a Unnnnnn) then its slightly different, just replace the U with 'testuserpage'... i.e.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/U180644
(my page)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/testuserpage180644
(The code that went into making up my page)
Key: Complain about this post
