Hi Holly, saw your post on Abbi's page, so I thought I would come by and say hi. If you want to add a color background to your page you'll need to switch your page to Guide ML. I can help you with the code on that if you want. Alabaster is a nice skin, it's the one I use the most. I do use Classic Goo though for my alter ego, The Dreaming Doppelganger. Oh, and I know I saw on here just the other day a picture of a tropical beach that might be just what you're looking for. I'll try to find it and post the link for you.

Thank You! That would be great! I would love to spalsh some color into my space! I went to the page you suggested, but it made no sense to me, at least not yet. It looked as though I would need some technical programming skills, I am willing to pick tham up as I go, but a little worried what the outcome could be if I were to say, do it wrong. The palm tree would be great too. I was hoping to be able to place the small lake on it's own, I mean without the confines of an actual picture border, but other than that, or if that's not possible, the one on Andy's page would do very nicely.I will attempt to copy what I've seen written on the analysis page, but am not too sure if I can just go into the edit option for my space and it will work to start typing all the commands, or symbols, or do I need to go about it another way? Also, is there a way to get an image of Arthur Dent into my space? I would love a moving one, like the alien that's waving on the page you sent me to.
Thanks for the info! smiley - peacesignhollypuppy

Bad closing element BODY expecting towel,... What does this mean? I went into ML to try to get my periwinkle sky, and it all fell apart on me.I screwed up my personal space at one point half of my info in my space was just missing. I went back to the original, but I do intend to go at it again, when I have more time. I do have another question though, when you switch to ML for altering certain things, do you need to then alter everything else in your space to ML language or commands? For instance, doI need to find another way to put my smilies on the screen other than just typing smiley with these<>? Thank You! smiley - dog hollypuppy

Yes, you're exactly right. You have to change the smileys to GuideML too. Instead of doing < rose > you do <SMILEY TYPE="rose"/>. To pick the background color and font colors you want go to A529715, that's the font color code chart. Here's the code for putting in a color background and color text:

Text of introduction here.

I don't know what all the terms mean, to be honest, but they should work. Lemme know when you're usually online, and if you get stuck I'll help. You do know how to look at the code for someone else's page don't you? Just go up to the address bar and replace U with testuserpage. Ok, talk soon.

Thought I would add that your user page needs to begin with

I think that's Central time, which applies to me too. If you're worried about messing up your page and not being able to get it back, just copy and paste it into a wordprocessing document, and you'll always have it if you need it. smiley - smiley

HI! smiley - hollysmiley - dog here! Saw your 'waves' and thought I'd stop in and say HI! While trying to reply to your greeting I hit something by accident and I ended up at the greatest spot for smileys I have ever come across! I haven't been on very regularly lately, the pups get upset if I don't spend all my spare time with them. I don't blame them, they are entitled to my spare time, I just get self centered occassionally. Anyway I haven't persued my desire to begin altering my space using ML yet, to be honest it is a bit intimidating, not enough to completely deter me, but I feel I will need a prolonged period of free time to delve in and work my way through it.I attempted it once and still can't figure out how to completely undo something I unknowingly did. (I now have the words and symbols reading < guide > and < body > sitting permenantly in the beginning of my space, so I will be expecting something slightly less than smooth sailing initially,... I'll need to plan for it. Sounds wimpy on re-reading it now, but true anyhow. smiley - peacedove hollypuppy

Well, if I'm online when you switch over to Guide ML, flag me down, and I'll stand by, see if I can help.
