Another entry
Posted May 17, 2007
So my latest entry about high fiving has just hit the front page. Top entry for the day again, so I get a lovely picture to adorn my work.
Huzzah
I have another entry on 'The Game' in for editing which means I need to get writing something soon as I've got nothing in peer review at the minute (first time since I signed up)
Any ideas?

A fifth Entry
Posted May 3, 2007
blah blah blah
So... my newest entry into the guide made the top of the front page. That's a first for me, and it means I get a pretty picture to go with my writing.
Lovely.
At the minute I've only got one entry in Peer Review that hasn't yet made it into the EG. Obviously this means I need to start writing about something new. My latest is on high fives, my others have been on Inverse Cool Theory, Conducting, The Raz (a club in Liverpool), and Advertising.
Ideas?

Fourth Journal Entry
Posted Apr 26, 2007
This is my fourth journal entry and I'm already growing tired of repetition.
I find myself actively resisting change.
Another entry in the edited guide! Huzzah! I really should learn how to make my profile thingy a little bit more pretty and link to these sort of things.
Have spent much of the afternoon reading postings of a group of american teenagers on another site drawing humour from other peoples use of bad grammar.
Nothing further to report.

Third Journal Entry
Posted Apr 23, 2007
This, is my third journal entry. You may have deduced this from the title. Or because it directly follows my second journal entry.
I haven't been on H2G2 much of late.
I've popped in and out just to see how some of my entries have been doing, but I've been a busy boy galavanting all over the place and whatnot.
I've also discovered facebook, which quite easily removes whole portions of my life. However it is a handy tool for rediscovering old friends and acquaintences.
Anywho - I'm back with a new entry. I was inspired by national high five day last Thursday and decided I'd bring to you all my knowledge on the subject. I've done some research on this one too - my other entries were almost entirely from my memory/imagination.
In other news I've had two more entries accepted for sub editing, and New and Improved - the Great Advertising Falacy is now in the guide.
I am a happy boy.
Tonight I will eat curry.

Second Journal Entry
Posted Mar 22, 2007
This is my second journal entry.
The more astute amongst you will have deduced this from either the title, or the fact that it immediately follows my first journal entry.
If you are one of the more astute researchers award yourself a biscuit (I'd advise on a bourbon or malted milk sports).
Well last night was the University Music Society concert. Along with the brass band I conducted there was a flute choir, a choir, a wind band and a big band.
We opened the concert, but before we'd got on stage I'd fallen out with the choir conductor and society president. Then from the stage I challenged the wind band to play louder than us and quicker. Then half way through the flute choir's set they completely fell apart and myself and several members of the band lost ourselves in fits of giggles. So by the time we'd reached the interval I'd upset all but one of the other ensembles and at this point the big band hadn't turned up.
Ah well, that's the way these things tend to go.
All good fun though.
Tonight I go straight from work to 'Shere Kahn' Express curry house, then out to rehearsals where I'll start leading a practice for my kids choir, then go straight into a practice with the kids brass band I help out at, and finally take part in a recording with the choir that I sing in.
Just another quiet evening then.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
