Hello mate! Just thought I'd tell you that a couple of nights ago I saw Buddy live again and he was stunning as ever. I was totally floored as always to the point I left a guide entry around here!.

The point of this? Buddy Guy is the best live act ever FULL STOP.

Though other people may be great as well, and we respect the right of the terminally incorrect to have differing opinions! Phew disclaimed just before the monkeys got loose.

I still say that Stevie Ray is still the best, but I guess we'll have to agree to disagree I suppose!

I do however have one person on my gig wish list, but the odds of it coming true are distant at best! I wanna see Jame Brown live! (Preferably at his best!) Still, not very likely for an Oz lad eh?

I got a huge laugh at a party a little while ago when someone brought up Kylie and I said I thought she was a talented lass. I was then asked if I liked her music and I responded with
"She makes music?? Really?? Hmmm...didn't know that!"

Seriously though I'm finding it really hard to play guitar at the moment because it is totally overshadowed by Buddy, god is that man powerful!

Spend a little while looking at another style, it'll do the trick!

Bug**r! He was on a music show last night playing accoustic, an amazing version of crawling kingsnake, so once more I feel inferior. Never mind I dont have to share his stage, thank god!

Decided to listen to stevie ray for a couple of days, and avoid the Buddy. Not that I think I'm better than stevie or even nearly as good, just that he is not who I saw live last week!

I have a jews harp........Ozark here we come!

Good news, I played today without insecurity!
A big fat and (finally)very me version of 19years old, now if only someone other than me thought it was good.

Just to add to my current sense of musical inadequecy, I just bought a re-release of Texas Flood with extra tracks.
By the gods he was good wasn't he! Still not better than Buddy tho'!

I've always loved SRV though, I discovered Buddy through him!

Sometimes you need that Bigmac flavour and at other times you prefer your steak cooked properly. I do love SRV, but it's like well done steak for me tasty but overdone, Buddy Guy however is just like a good rare steak all the meat and all the flavour (and all the Mad Cow disease the way he sometimes goes crazy)

Don't worry boss, I do appreciate the soul in his playing, and truly love it. But it is very much all there all the time, less light and shade than others(not just BG). However, very, very few people could be so intense soulfully for such a long period, so hots off to him
