Lady Lynda

Today 04/04/03 was the day when I thought someone would drive all the way from Manchester to Wallington Surrey to see me.

Because I have nocturnal epilepsy I stayed up all night for fear that a seizure would make me miss my 11:00 am date with this special person so I haven't slept or taken my tablets for two days.

You know I'm unemployed and can barely afford to feed myself but I bought twelve red roses for her which are just gonna go in the bin.

Guess what happened? I stood waiting from 10:45 am. to 13:00 pm. I guess if you are a woman you know what happened don't you it's the game you like to play with us guy's.

It's my own fault for thinking well I know what all the others have been like but please God let this one be different. And you girls play to that stupid mentality that we guys have don't you.

There really is no fool like an old fool but even so I feel sorry for you girls that do this kind of thing to ordinary decent guys like me.

Lady Lynda Resurected

I'm mighty pleased to be able to report despite the many tributes left by me and all the h2g2 family, that My Lady Lynda has indeed returned after a mixup over identities.

Lady Lynda's car was stolen and the thief of the car died after crashing it. The thief was mistakenly identified as Lady Lynda.

Never the less thank you for the wonderfull tributes left by one and all and the tremendous support you gave me.

lady Linda researcher 220424

Today 24/03/2003 was the day when after returning from the funeral of my auntie Pamela Gillet, who died bravely from cancer, I logged on to discover that my wonderfull Lady Linda of Turmic researcher No 220424 had at 10.00am (the same time as my aunties funeral) died in a road accident.

We met in h2g2 and had chatted every day for many wonderful hours through the night, both here and at AOL messenger.

We quickly became besotted with each other and longed to meet soon.

We never met each other but we discovered that although I am in Croydon South London and she was in Manchester; she had for a time lived near me in Croydon and also worked in Coulsdon Surrey which is the town where I lived for the first 26 years of my life.

We would have visited many of the same places in Croydon and Coulsdon.

We felt we were destined to meet soon.

May she now rest in peace I'll never for get my wonderful Lady Linda of Turmic Researcher No 220424 smiley - rose

INTERNET DEMON v SAINT

I am looking for people to write a science fiction story on the h2g2 community. Just pick up the story from wherever the last person left off. Comments and ideas are also welcome and who knows It may become a cult TV (Television I mean) show.

The novel is about an internet revolution. Consider more people are switching to broadband leaving their PC's connected. Millions of computers on Broadband internet. Suppose they became autonomous pooling their computing power and talking freely with one another.

This could give the internet an unprecedented level of intelligence beyond our imagination.

Would this be good or bad? Remember that even your wrist watch and mobile phone are computers. Would any one individual try to take control or would it be unfeasable. We may in the future do it as a deliberate act to go to the next level in development.
Would the 'System' work for us or would it feel we were dangerous smiley - sadface to the planet?

I leave it to you whether you leave your comments, ideas, or just start writing. Who knows maybe the story will be about how the story was written

Keithanthony smiley - cheers
