seems others had problems too today.... anyway yes my ex was indeed scum of the earth...hes good at getting sympathy, but hes dangerous in his pathetic way...

sorry to hear you've experienced abuse in your childhood too.. more common than we think....my parents were great people but sadly both died young...

however my mother a very strong clever woman had instilled in me a strong sense of morality..so when i began to hear about the abuse from his younger sister i couldn't believe no one had stopped it..it was 'overlooked' by both the grandparents and the mother...and now we have another generation covering up for him.. but he will die soon, and i hope there is a hell waiting for him.smiley - devil

so another shift over only one more and i'm of then till sunday [overtime at double pay] next week is half term so i don't have to get up early to take her to schoolsmiley - oksmiley - magic

got to go take it easy mm.

Hope you are well. And your family also. my clan is hanging in there. we maintain relatively well. smiley - smiley
i just wish the guys would wash dishes more often. we all hate washing dishessmiley - wah
nobody minds cooking or helping clean up the apt, but we all abhor dirty dishes. i think we need to use all disposable dishes. lol that would be a terrible mess, as we would fill the landfill in shortorder.
i guess i'm just lazy. dishes should not be an issue for anyone.
weather here has been getting much chillier of a night. autumn is definitely here. boo hiss. coolth sux. warmth rox.

hi mm hope you are all well there... we're fine but all got soaking wet... torrential rain here in wales.....

went to our littluns [summer] school halloween disco tonight.. surprising for a church school to hold them but it was all tame fun...we the adults had a few drinks too which improved the entire eventsmiley - biggrin... didn't enjoy the short walk home...our clothes were wringing...

yeah i hate doing dishes... luckily hubby will do them especially if i have cooked, and sometimes even when i haven't....house work is such a drag, and then when all my girls come round the mess they make is enough to me smiley - wah i have plenty of mugs but somehow they still use every single one smiley - grr

talking of mindless violence [a few threads back] in the nearby main town an elderly woman was stabbed to death in a poundstretcher shop over an argument in the queue.... the shop is still closed and a police guard outside as i went past today... to kill over a queue place...

i'm seeing more and more shop rage though... people are just so rude and impatient now.. i served a girl last week who so badly needed a slap from me...she was collecting her photo films.. had lost her slip/receipt and didn't tell me her name clearly enough... add to that just 1 hour before i had had a wisdom tooth out, so was pretty groggy... and i told her this and that she had to bear with me, especially considering she had lost the slip...

anyway found it eventually served the little madame and off she went.. but when a colleague came over and told me the girl had been making faces behind my back......smiley - grr i wanted to race after her and slap the cheeky smiley - bleep.. not that i am by nature a violent person...but sometimes some people get me so mad smiley - steam

anyway i'm breathing deeply and staying calmsmiley - biggrin hows things on your side of the pond.

the church did a halloween thing for the wee ones, huh? and they served you alcoholic beverages? whoa... i'm impressed. schools here are getting out of doing the halloween thing, even for the youngsters. kids are not allowed the simple pleasures that were afforded us as children.smiley - wah the kids grow up fast enuff, why push it even more? i find no harm in the halloween dressup, knocking on neighbors doors, and begging for cavities, i mean smiley - choc.
torrential rain? geez. what is your annual rainfall? here in illinois we are having small rain showers, but it is still in drought statistics here. the few times we had rain this summer, they were gully washers, which do little good. the majority of rain runs off into sewers and the ground retains a minimal amount. such a shame cuz my boys and i all like to play in a warm rain shower. we call it "puddling". my *14 is nearly as crazy about it as i am. it is one of life's "simple pleasures".
i always think of wales as having much, much rain. does your grass stay green year round? that would be wonderful. ours gets nasty brown and dies each winter.
our side of the pond is..well, in its normal state of chaos and b.s. untied states of america. that was not a typo. the s#@t is so deep on this side of the world that we need waders to get thru on a daily basis.
random violence is terrible. anywhere people experience. i noticed on your personal space, i believe, you said you enjoy florida. tourism may be affected ultimately with their passage of the Shoot First Law. if a florida resident perceives a threat against themselves, they are allowed to shoot the alleged perp. Perceives is the key word. this law also can be applied in cases of road rage, etc. investigate further before you visit there again. i anticipate itchy trigger fingers. time will tell. hope i'm wrong.

hi MM

pouring down most of fri and today.. sat we had sunshinesmiley - erm our grass should be green all year... a very hot summer will turn it yellow, but that is not the norm... longest drought i can remember was in 1976.. hell that was hot.. and no rain from easter to september.. and when it did rain we all danced in it..

last couple of years have had hot weather in the summer but also luckily, regular rainfall so grass stay mostly green although hubby will put sprinker on now and again..our climate is changing so much.. it should be freezing cold now but is still quite mild...it really worries me, we can grow almost tropical stuff in the garden now and vegetables that like the cold are often failing...

it wasn't exactly the church that had the disco but the church school.. the priest didn't turn up.. good i hate him anywaysmiley - biggrin big hypocrite that he is. shes in a catholic church school but we are actually church of england/wales.. maybe episcopalian is your equivalent i asked a colleague married to an american girl..

but i don't really have much faith in organised religion.. i find them all lacking.. maybe the closest is the unitarians who believe there is some right in all religions..[also a lot of wrongs too]

when we went to florida in 2000 we almost got carjacked or mugged or something.. on our last day we went to spend the rest of our dollars on international drive, when a car with black windows pulled up from a side road, black guy asked if we wanted a taxi anywhere... me completely oblivious said merrily "no thanks our hotels just over there" hubby pulled me back saying something then a horn honking and a woman driver shouting at us to get away from the car as hes mad..she was really panicking...car burns off...lady in car shouted to call the police and then husband says that there was another man lying on the back seat holding a shiny metal object.. he could just make it out thru the blacked out window...

so holy s**t what was he going to do to us...we had hardly any dollars on us....how did woman driver know what was going on? frightened me as littlun was only 3yr in a buggy.... suppose we had a lucky escape although as i said i wouldn't have gone to get in back seat anyway...

florida has gone downhill a lot anyway.. when i 1st went in 91 it was the bees knees.. but last time over there last year was disappointing... its become tacky and not meaning to sound racist but all the souvenier shops are owned by asian indians just like over here.. nrealy all our corner shops are run by indians...seems they will take over the world small shops... i don't mind so much but they make it clear they don't like us...half the transaction they are on the bloody phone to some one.. its like do you want our money or not... then serve us in a respectable fashion...

heck if i was so rude i'd be so fired from my jobsmiley - biggrin anyway sad to see the same happening in florida... better sign off now as i do ramble on a bitsmiley - tongueout

bye MM

g'mornin' FL smiley - smiley the sun is shining here, but it is getting cold! 37'F already.brrrr green grass all year. do you have to mow the lawn all year long? a vegie garden? that would be the s**t! home grown tomatoes. just thinking about those puts a smile on my face.

i understand your feelings on organized religions. same here.
florida has gone downhill alot. hell, the whole country is, in my opinion. your brush with the baddies in florida was too close, girl. i would have peed my pants on the spot. i wonder how the lady in the other car knew what he was up to? that is a guardian angel of sorts. the lady, i mean.

how do the asian indians find all the neighborhood shops? they even got 'em here in the hood. they do sell bomb ass incense, tho. i have to give them credit for that. talking on the phone while waiting on customers is too rude. they can only get away with it cuz they are the shopkeeper.
i'm going to my friends' house in the country for a few days before i move away from here. if you don't here from me for a day or two, i'll get back to you when i return. probably wed or thurs.
when do you leave for new york? smiley - coolis it your elder daughter's graduation? you must be getting excited! and on your birthday, too? too cool.
how are the ferrets doing since they got snipped? *14 thinks he wants a ferret, but i think he'd change his mind after having to deal with it for a stretch.
well, FL, i'll close for now. hope all is going well for you and your's. until later.

hi MM hope you have a few nice days away..change of scenery and all that..

hes probably done the last cut of the year now, start again march or april...... my hubby works for the local council and grass cutting is part of his job [general cemetary maintenance along with grave diging] they expect that in years to come it will be all year round cutting..

we're having lots of torrential downpours, and been windy too...someone said we get the tailend of the latest hurricane.. much watered down...

i daren't tell my littlun that as she has a morbid fear of natural disasters...poor little thing...it can't be helped with so many natural disasters happening this year, with tidal waves, earthquakes and huricanes.. she always asks will a tsunami/earthquake etc happen here..

most of the time we can confidently say no these things won't affect us.......

i guess i'm quite fussy about shop service.. i won't tolerate crap service...my money is hard earned.. and i earn it by serving the public so i expect the same... know what i hate the most though? when a customer comes in and i do the entire transaction while they are on the phone... i used to be a bit apologetic and uneasy about it..but now i behave exactly as if they weren't on that phone... they can always wait until they've finished... but no they come over to hand a film in, and i will treat them like everyone else...name? phone number? size of prints? when do they want them?... no one has ever dared say anything because i will snap back how rude they are on their phones....ohhh i'm not a scorpio for nothingsmiley - biggrin

i wonder about that woman in the car... how did she know what he was up to??? that could have been a bad situation.... did she recognise the car as one that had been on the news??? lets hope thats the only dangerous situation i'll ever get while in the states...

my daughter wil drag me round gay bars while in NY...[shes gay] never been to any before although we have 2 or 3 in cardiff... should be an eye opener for mesmiley - erm

anyhoo got to go now,
bye for now

Wow! you are nothing short of amazing! let me tell you about my family... it takes all kinds to make the world go round.this move that we are making to rural redneck usa is going to be of great interest and concern for my *14 and*17. *14 son is a lovely blend of black and white. father is black. i'm white. *17 painless birth is black. my *22 and *29 are white. when i left 30 years ago it was like hillbilly heaven. they have a teeny tiny library. i guess illiteracy is only a problem if you have books.smiley - winkeyebut it will be a cultural adventure.

hi there MM... hey i hope you won't experience any racial bother when you move back home.. but we have places like that in the more remote areas.. cardiff is a very multicultural city.. we have many neighbours who are black or mixed race.. our immediate next doors are a mixed race family, apart from a mormon lady further down, these are the only folk i trust with my house keys..

my youngest calls them aunty and uncle...we have very recently had a family of indian/asian move in, and sad to say they were not very friendly.. and as for the old woman across from them.. she was horrified about it....and it didn't help that he/ the indian bloke knocked her front garden wall down with his carsmiley - laugh

it might sound as if i don't like indians, but the problem is they have this superior attitude.. its all to do with religion.. we are like dirty to them...my middle girl was really close to a group of indian and somali girls all thru her highschool, she even did the ramadam fast with them once.. but now she admits she was never fully accepted and as for their parents they didn't work hard to disguise their disgust of her [a white gura which is their negative word for whites]

i try hard to accept everyone as they treat me.... i do know some lovely indians.. but sad to say the majority are aloof towards us.. i can kind of understand we are the hated fast westerners.. loose morales, no higher understanding[religion] anymore...they are as a race much more spiritual than us [on average] of course they also go over the top on religious zeal and become sect like and follow evil such as osama bin laden [ in the bin with him]

sigh....anyway so you have 2 mixed race kids?? 2 of my hubbys sisters are in mixed relationships.. sadly both those men are not brilliant examples of an average black guy... in fact they sterotype the negative image of the girlfriend beating black guy with 10 kids each....
one of them is a real nutcase...hes half belgian so has a very nice french type accent.. but oh my god, hes off with the fairies... he even told me that god had sent him to earth to make women happy and make lots of babies...smiley - run

and with that crazy thought i'll leave you for now speak to you again soon...byeeee

i totally agree about your impression with indian people. you know, while a store clerk i experienced alot of bs from that crowd. i have faced crap from all races; i do hope "home" has grown up some. diversity should be reality. we all bleed red stuff.
it annoys me a great deal when i am judged because i am a westerner.
i don't hold it against because we are different, and i would really appreciate it that other's don't do that to me. just like you said, we are the hated westerners. how fair is that?
i would love to say divorces were caused because a man was involved; but i must accept blame also. we all grew; just never together, in the right direction, and at the right time. it took me a long time to figure alot of things out. i'm willing to accept that my taste in men has sucked totally. my judgement was impaired. naturally. i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, either.lol just ask either ex! i'm sure they'd agree and then some! you know, the nature of the beast!.
#1 if god had sent someone to make women happy, it probably would not have been an arrogant male a##. that is punishment! they are necessary only for the sperm. sperm donors.
it's actually fun to be a little nutty. laughter is healthy!smiley - laugh
i'm getting anxious for your birthday trip. i think it has the potential to be pretty fun.roll with it.smiley - cheers
gotta run for now. maybe i'll write more later.

you say your taste in men sucks.... but if you've learned something by it then its a step in the right direction.... i know some women have this dreadful knack for falling for bad guys i should know i was one of themsmiley - wah

you should have seen some of the men i dated when i was single after my divorce....ooowweee i dated some looneys.. i was a psycho magnetsmiley - laugh
