No worries, Roadkill, I'm sorry *I* missed my birthday. As it was it would have been pretty rude for me to leave my friends and pop down for an hour or so of internet, but...
I'm very grateful to people for noticing, and this thread has made my birthday infinitely happier in retrospect because this year a lot more people actually noticed I was alive...

(az, here's one only you'll probably understand - I was talking with about five friends and they all told me that Sarah (my g/f) is the best thing to happen to me for ages. I'd like to know if my behaviour has seemed less grumpy in the last few weeks, because I'm inclined to agree with them)

Yes, I can definitely notice the 'Sarah difference'. I didn't know about her until you mentioned her just before your birthday.

In RL I'm generally depressed but funny and occasionally charming, but it's difficult to communicate that OL, especially on a debate site. (Still playing it casual... I'm convinced it'll work...)
I'll tell her you said that, though. Do I really come across that grumpy, just because I don't put smileys at the end of every post?
