Hi, smiley - smileyhope all is smiley - ok
How’s the weather where you are, we had just one night of frostsmiley - brr over the bank holiday weekend, no damage done, Phewsmiley - smiley
We did not get away, instead we spent time in the garden as the weather wasn’t too bad, or it wasn’t whilst we were gardening then as we finished it threw it down.
We’ve caught up now, Ali planted up all her greenhouse stuff todate, smiley - tomato‘s, celery, sweet potatoes and aubergine and Ive put the nasturtiums into troughs, planted 2 roses into the garden, dotted some Alyssum in some beds, put the trailing lobelia in the window boxes at the front of the house, planted another clematis on the back trellis and attended to my smiley - bluebutterflysmiley - orangebutterfly beds.
The clematis that I moved (prior to knowing I had hernia) looks absolutelysmiley - magic, pale pink flowers in abundance and the scent is lovely, the grape continues to fatten its buds and the wisteria continues to march away.
The garden is starting to get a nice feel to it now, still very much behind in comparison to last year but enjoyable to sit out in when the weather shows its more favourable side.
The peppers on the kitchen window sill have started to flower, though the chillies are still taking their time.
Ali’s beans and peas have all broken the surface now as have the sunflowers, sweat peas and gladioli.
How’s things doing in your garden, has work picked up yet, I ve got another run to the garden centre to do as we ran out of compost again this bank holiday.
Hope you had a pleasant bank holiday and have a good week, smiley - smiley

Hi smiley - smiley
Glad to hear things are taking shape in your garden. I wish I could say the same, it's still rain, rain and more rain here. My garden is green, but nothing is really growing well. smiley - sadface The bank holiday was a washout, very quiet at work. There is now talk of cutting hours as things are so bad.
My lovely new orchids are doing well though, one is in flower and another will be shortly. The last 2 still have a way to go before they flower. Today is yet more rain, so no chance of me getting in the garden today either smiley - wah I havent even had a chance to try out the new camera yet, which is such a shame.
I did notice that the new seed bed is sprouting more seeds, if the sun comes out it should really take off.
We didn't get any frost here at the weekend, I did bring in my orchids just in case.
It's another working weekend for me, so i probably won't catch up again until next week. On the bright side, i do get to do my bit for our twitter page and look for interesting or unusual bugs at the centre. smiley - biggrin

Have a good weekend. smiley - smiley

Hi smiley - smiley. Hope you get some sunshine soon, for your garden and your works sake.
Your right the wet weather has made things lush but it’s been slow going up to now.
This bit of warmth recently has made a difference , the clematis are all growing very well and all our fruit trees / bushes have now started to get some good sturdy growth on them.
Did you get the D3200; you will have to tell me what you think of the difference the pixel upgrade does to your pictures.
The smiley - bluebutterfly beds have germinated but the frost has taken its toll and the slugs are appearing for funsmiley - grr. The durries out as to whether there going to be a success smiley - sadface, I will give them another 2 weeks of sunshine and the make a decision as to what to do next.
Hope all goes smiley - ok at work this week end; will send you a post next week. smiley - smiley

Hi there.smiley - smiley
Sorry it has been a very long time since I last came to this site. I just havent had the time what with one thing and another. How are you keeping?
I'm on two weeks holiday, so have a little more time to catch up, in between trying to get up to date with the garden. It all got out of control with the constant wet weather and my deteriorating health. smiley - sadface
Did your butterfly flower bed ever come to anything? I did have alot of poppies and a few assorted wild flowers do there thing, but all in all it was a disappointment smiley - wah Maybe next year will be better.
I've been out in the garden taking lots of photos of bugs and some lovely butterflies that have come in now the weather has improved.
How is your health at the moment? I remember last time we spoke you were waiting for an op of some sort?

I will try and keep up a bit better, but no promises.
Have a good day. smiley - biggrin
