Dear Feisor

I find the slander cast upon my character that I am merely an "identity of convenience" and not a bona fide researcher, more than a little upsetting.

It is, of course, utterly true but that doesn't mean I can't express outrage at it all the same. How untrue to form would it be if I couldn't at least pen a firey retort claiming defamation, and sullying of character? Insolence and insubordination; that's what it boils down to. I remember the days of yore when youth had manners and respect and you could go for a night on the tiles for tuppence and still have change for a carriage home ...

Weren't in my lifetime I hasten to add - not this one at least. Nope, when I was Czar Nicholas of Russias' Equerries' best friends' man servants faithful hound, Kaiser ... those were the days. Days of wild abandon and care-free living ... when a pedigree dalmatian bitch was all a man could hope for ... spots used to drive me wild.

I digress ... outraged - it's as simple as that.
