Something that to check, does the filtering software prevent you from accessing any sites that encrypt there data using SSL?
(that would be those websites that show a padlock icon)

Wiro Posted Jan 10, 2005
My mates school blocks you from using sites that use the encryption because it means that they can't filter the content

It lets me get as far as entering a delivery address. I didn't want to go any further because it looked scary *quivers*

Hmm that's interesting.
What time do you want me to arrive on Friday and where? King's Lynn or erm...what ever that other station is?

U218534 Posted Jan 11, 2005
King's Lynn is best, so I can meet you myself.
About... 4.30pm? 5pm? Maybe?

I've tried the web-based messenger services here in the library. Neither of them do anything when I try to run the program.
BUT - I'm using the old computers, which have just a browser stuck inside a SafetyNet system. I can't right-click, or use any Windows interface or anything like that. 'Tis useless. All the new computers are being used, as usual *rolls eyes*

Wiro Posted Jan 13, 2005
Well if the answer to my above post is yes then it will be VERY obvious because it will say RM all over it. Like at the logon screen.

*wanders in* I hope you and Kat have fun together, Joe. *meows because she feels like it*
My old school's computers blocked most e-mail places, except school e-mail, but if you use that they can read everything you say and sometimes randomly check people's e-mail and crack it at them if they don't like what was said, and it probably tries to black porn and stuff like that, although apparently Tingting (very odd little girl who people fear) is always on porn sites at school and has a bunch of porn saved onto her U drive. So yeah... my old school seemed to like blocking things I wanted to look at, like some Manson stuff and things like that. Ah well, I'm out now and am free to go wherever I want at this computer. *cuddles her brother's computer*

Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ? Posted Jan 15, 2005
It was great at the end of the year I was doing the end of year slideshow and stuff, so the teachers kept logging in and letting me use it because the music files wouldn't work on my account .

Cat, what are you doing on here and not on MSN? *hits you with a spoon* Also, on a bit of a different topic, I got my Big Day Out ticket today. You should get a ticket and go. I mean, like, System of a Down, Beasty Boys, I think Faith No More.... can't remember anything else right now, but my memory is being really crap today. But still, Big Day Out is awesome, you'd enjoy it.

I think you're missing the point here. The point (of course) being that you should go to Big Day Out.
