Hi Hathornefer, nice home page
Great idea, this random posting thing. Thought I'd get in with a pre-emptive strike.
Oddly enough, I too was born in East London in 1968 and I have also haunted the unlovely buildings of Birkbeck college, working hard on an uncompleted MSc in computer science. Ahh, yes, fond memories of almost total mind-numbing exhaustion.. think I need a good strong cup of now..

Hey Dr
Sit down, take a load off your feet, and I'll put the kettle on. This random posting thing is working out really well. Thank you for coming to see me before I spotted you.
For the last three years of college I have been based at Gresse street. Next year we are moving to the new building being built.... So I am hoping for nicer times for my final year. Its good to come across another Birkbeck student - I wonder how many of us there are that have been there over the years.
Anyway good strong cup of coming up - of course with a slice of

Very nice. Me and Mr. , we go way back. A kind of symbiotic mutual support system, I suppose, though the might protest that I'm the one that doesn't, in the end, get eaten.
You know, I thought I knew every street in London, but I've never heard of Gresse Street. I was in the building on Gower Street, Senate house. A very scary building indeed. I reckon there must have been thousands of Birkbeck students over the years, most of them probably responsible for the rise in global coffee prices. You must be finding it tough getting time in on H2G2 .. be careful, its highly addictive.

I have 4 assigments to complete and still i would rather sit here and ramble on. The words 'its addictive' are an understatement if ever I saw one.
It seems that most bbk people struggle with where Gresse Street is and thats why we see so little of the student union people and the building is so run down... still it closes in the summer for the new building , when I too will be off to Gower street.
Guess I should be off to do some landslide modelling - but I think first one more and one more on this nice comfy before I get back down to it.
Need a refill?

Its a shame they don't have this: except for .
Landslide modelling eh? Sounds very mathematical.
I have a try at landslide modelling myself - its just everybody else that calls it the washing up
Must toddle off now. If you are in East London, then I'm currently two hours in the future, in what might be called very very very very East London, or more briefly: Romania. All of which means I am very .
Enjoy the assignments!
