Call me nosy, but I couldn't help but notice that you were dropping off and saying hello to people. .. I don't know whether or not I meet your criteria, because I may have happed upon you in a forum or two (although I don't think so), but nevertheless, I thought that karmawise, I'd return the favour. And so here I am, dropping in to say hello and extend tendrils of virtual good will across the electronic void.
have a , free of charge. .. and some .
all the best,
- njan

Now you have come here I cant make you a surprise visit as you no longer meet the criteria, but I feel I have been beaten at my own game on the day I start (and THAT is funny!)
You are welcome here at any time, and I promise I will get back to you... especially when you come here bearing baked-goods such as cake . I keep a well stocked larder here so you will always find something to eat and drink if you turn up here unexpectedly.
Of course now we have formally said hello, I may just pop over and say 'Hi' in your space as aquaintences do - so...... thanks for the cake have a cup of to go with it.
Thanks for the hug - its been a hug free zone here for too long! Karma more balanced I am ready to take on the world

.. you could always give me a semi-surprise visit. - you know what the ACEs scheme is, right? You could play your game and get a volounteer badge at the same time.
Thankyou! .. is very good. *nods sagely* .. such profferings as and are also forthcoming, should you like those also, and permutations of the above.
.. I'm sorry to hear that.. .. hugs, much like cake, are also forthcoming.

Njan Your post arrrived shortly after another talking about angels. I was in two minds which I should look to become. (You can tell by how long it has taken me to reply) I have already submittted a request to the Angels but am SERIOUSLY considering Acing it if allowed. Thanks for the suggestion.
Please ensure you take and for your journey.

.. if the angels won't let you be a volounteer, then I'd recommend you become an ace, although I've only ever been an ace, so I have no basis for comparison. But unless the angels **explicitly** state that you can't volounteer whilst being amidst their ranks, then it'll be more than - the community ethic in h2g2 is one in which people join lots of things. As far as I'm aware, I'm a member of about 20 different societies and collectives, one of which is an official volounteer scheme (the subeditors), and several of which I head up / founded.
I'll certainly try. .. at the moment I'm debating which books to sacrifice, and it's quite heartbreaking.

Just submitted a request to the aces as well. We'll see how things progress from here.
I am lead to believe that there are bookshops in Idaho - so forget ALL the books (except perhaps notebooks and journals) and just go for the chocolate and cheesecake. The chocolates not the same out there you know..

Actually, I'm led to believe that the cheesecake is better out there. .. but I don't know that the books I have are replacable. .. and I have handluggage for chocolate.

You do realise they have on the plane, don't you?
And I need to leave /some/ space for books, a pair of £3000 clarinets, and an external hard drive..

.... but it wont be the same when you get out there Njan. You may be stocked for the travelling - but if you stay in Idaho long you may start yearning for the english stuff. I spent 16 months sending bars of dairy milk and other chocolate products to the US for a friend not so long ago!
Take the chocolate in your hand luggage and get your claranets and hard drive posted! after alll which is more important
Anyway - frivolity aside have a safe journey tomorrow (?)Our loss is Nyssabird and Idahos gain!
Ooh for Nyssa
