And so here I am, dropping in to say hello and extend tendrils of virtual good will across the electronic void. smiley - angel

Njan Your post arrrived shortly after another talking about angels. I was in two minds which I should look to become. (You can tell by how long it has taken me to reply) I have already submittted a request to the Angels but am SERIOUSLY considering Acing it if allowed. Thanks for the suggestion.

Please ensure you take smiley - choc and smiley - cheesecake for your journey.

*Gives njan a big smiley - hug, and runs out smiley - wah*

smiley - biggrin.. if the angels won't let you be a volounteer, then I'd recommend you become an ace, although I've only ever been an ace, so I have no basis for comparison. But unless the angels **explicitly** state that you can't volounteer whilst being amidst their ranks, then it'll be more than smiley - ok - the community ethic in h2g2 is one in which people join lots of things. As far as I'm aware, I'm a member of about 20 different societies and collectives, one of which is an official volounteer scheme (the subeditors), and several of which I head up / founded. smiley - ok

I'll certainly try. smiley - winkeye.. at the moment I'm debating which books to sacrifice, and it's quite heartbreaking. smiley - cry

smiley - hug

Just submitted a request to the aces as well. We'll see how things progress from here.smiley - winkeye

I am lead to believe that there are bookshops in Idaho - so forget ALL the books (except perhaps notebooks and journals) and just go for the chocolate and cheesecake. The chocolates not the same out there you know..smiley - erm

.... but it wont be the same when you get out there Njan. You may be stocked for the travelling - but if you stay in Idaho long you may start yearning for the english smiley - choc stuff. I spent 16 months sending bars of dairy milk and other chocolate products to the US for a friend not so long ago!smiley - silly

Take the chocolate in your hand luggage and get your claranets and hard drive posted! smiley - sillyafter alll which is more importantsmiley - ok

Anyway - frivolity aside have a safe journey tomorrow (?)Our loss is Nyssabird and Idahos gain!
