Given the Patron Saint of Kittens' extremely fragile state (as described in the entry A1104049 - My termination - which this thread is about) I feel that to use the phrase "why you decided to abort your child" is trolling.

I am willing to assume that it is uninentional insensitivity on Perry's part. However, I think that the thread about the entry itself should NOT turn into an abortion debate, which Perry's post could inadvertantly spark off.

I thought of writing a reply, and in fact drafted one, but since PSoK is clearly having an extremely rough time of it at the moment, I felt that it was better to cut that particular line of enquiry short, in that specific thread, at least.

For what it's worth, in her situation I would have done exactly the same. Though I hope to the goddess that they would give me an epidural.

Insensitive? I think that's an subjective appraisal. No offence was intended; I was genuinely interested in hearing the reasons behind the decision.

Trolling? I don't see how you could have come to that conclusion. The post has not been pulled, as far as I can see.

The Italics decided to leave it in, on the basis that only the offended person can tell whether or not they are offended, which is fair enough.

I did not mean that you *were* trolling, merely that it is possible that it could feel that way from the other side of the Internet.

And PSoK seems to have taken it in good part, so far as one can tell, so all seems to have worked out reasonably well.
