ouch!
Posted Feb 19, 2003
Just been to the dentist, and as you might expect my left cheek feels still really numb. I am not supposed to eat or drink for at an hour, so i don't know how i will survive hehe. Looking on the bright side though, the weather in Manchester is just incredibly sunny today.
Will be going to the cinema with Owl later on to see 'Catch me if you can'. I already saw it last saturday with some friends, but Owl hasn't, and i actually don't mind seeing it twice, since it's that good!
Hmmm what else? A new president was elected in Cyprus the other day. He is called Mr Papadopoulos. In my opinion, the president before, Mr Clerides, was the second best president Cyprus has had since the death of Makarios. He was working really hard for a Cyprus solution, and succeeded in developing good relations with the turkish president of the Northern side of Cyprus, Mr Denktash. They were both close to reaching an agreement to the Cyprus problem, and Clerides strived for the integration of Cyprus into the EU, which he eventually succeeded. He asked to be re-elected for at least 18 more months until he found a solution to the Cyprus problem, but the number of votes for Mr Papadopoulos were unfortunately more.

Hmmm

Haven't done much at all these past couple of days, except going to uni yesterday. Bought a french and german newspaper the other day in order to keep up with my languages. I'm specialising in translation, and we basically translate articles from different newspapers such as the Guardian, The Observer, but also from foreign newspapers.
Well I didn't have uni today, which is one good thing, and I get wednesdays off. I'll be going to the dentist tomorrow though grrr

Happy!

Went to see "Catch me if you can" with 2 friends last night. A definete must see for anyone who is up for a laugh. It has a really good plot with some clever lines. Leonardo's cunning skills and persuasiveness shines all the way through in the movie, but don't think for a second to try doing what he did as you will get caught!
After the movie, we were really starving so we decided to go to McDonalds for a burger. We then went to have a drink in a quiet pub that we came across while walking (quite suprising to find somewhere quiet on a saturday night). Drinks were a bit expensive, but then that's what you expect with non-studenty pubs. Well worth it though.

great night!

Last night was just amaaazing! We went to the thai restaurant as planned, and had the special valentine's meal. However, to our suprise, the meal cost about £23 each; pretty expensive if you ask me although the food was excellent! They also had live music playing in the background, with some guy doing a cover of Elvis Presley's falling in love with you.
We then went in search of a pub we had once seen, but has managed to dissapear... Evertime we go look for it, we can't seem to find it. After numerous attempts, we settled for good old Weatherspoon's. Had one drink (i decided to have a glass of coke after having had 2 glasses of red wine at the resto, knowing what wine does to me), and headed off home after that. The rest is for us to know and for you to guess .
Tonight i will be going to the cinema with some friends to see "Catch me if you can", starring Leonardo Dicaprio. Should be fun!

Best card ever!
Posted Feb 14, 2003
Well i have to say that i received the best card ever from Owl today! He had drawn a picture of a pig and an owl on the front cover of the card, (which is us)who are standing next to each other on their wedding day. I thought it was really sweet! And on top of that, he gave me 2 pressies.
I reciprocated this by giving him a card and pressies as well .
Well the day isn't over, but i must get on with my work, as later tonight me and Owl are going out for a meal, and possibly for a drink af ter that. Feeling happy!
