Better Than Plastic

I just came back to H2G2 after a long sojourn writing elsewhere, namely Plastic.com. Trust me: don't write for them, they'll never post your article.

"Why is it that when you kill a man in the heat of battle, you're a hero, but when you kill a man in the heat of passion, you're a murderer?" --The Donut Man from the film "Wayne's World"

Aggravation

I was at the Tech Center of my neighborhood library because my ISP was giving me problems. There were eight computer screens in the room: four of which were turned toward the area's supervisor and four of which were set deep within a desk and covered, so that only the users could see what was on the monitors. I was becoming annoyed by the moronic technodenizens beside me and asked to be moved to an available covered computer. "I'm sorry," said the supervisor, "but those computers are for adults only." This opens a veritable Pandora's box of questions: Why are they for only adults? Are they preloaded with porn, as these front computers are preloaded with kiddie software? If an adult tried to look at porn on the kid computers and he could not, wouldn't that be censorship? And why are half of all the computers designated for such smutty uses? Are half of all library patrons porn addicts? I've seen six-year-olds clutching teddies accessing porn at the old library tech center, so how can you censor me? WHY CAN'T I JUST HAVE A COVERED COMPUTER SO I CAN DELETE FREE CREDIT CARD OFFERS AND E-MAIL FROM "FREESTUFFQUEENS" AND "BABY BOB SAYS 'WASSUP!'" FROM MY INBOX IN PEACE?!
