Yippee! I knew I wasn't the only one! WELCOME to h2g2 (or hootoo as some of us call it, only needs one finger to type in!)

I'm Terri & amongst other things I'm an Ace, which means I try & help "newbies" find their way around. Somehow, I think you won't have much trouble with that; just say you're a "newbie" & everyone will be even friendlier than usual!

I'm not the worlds most technology orientated person (you probably know more than me!) but I've got lots of friends here on hootoo, between us we can probably answer any questions you might have.

I found hootoo when I typed Yamaha DT80 into my search thingy (it was the only result I got). Having read Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency, I thought this was not a coincidence and couldn't resist getting lost in this virtual world. I broke my ankle three days ago so I have loads of time to explore over the next six weeks , so I expect you will hear more from me over the coming months. My ferret is called Taz but my wife and I call him 'smelly' or 'gerroff' (short for 'gerroff my finger you little sod').

Sorry to hear about your ankle!

--as you say though, at least it gives you time to explore hootoo!

Great name for the ferret, mine was called Felix, we managed to bring him (legally, own passport etc.) all the way from Bedford to the South of France. Smuggling him into hotel room was fun!
