Well, that and the huge number of people and the number of activities. Plus you're resposible for everything you do, no one will chase you up if you don't hand a piece of coursework in on time, you just get marks taken off. You hhave to sort all your finances, timetabling, work, social life, deciding where you want to live the following year and the rest of it. In truth it's all great fun, but the first couple of weeks can seem a little intimidating.

You've much more choice over what you learn as well. Not just the range of subjects, but what modules you take in each one

Oh it is . My degree was environmental science, but I was learning all sorts of things from the formation of sandstone to how seeds germinate.
